Hello

3 comments/questions

1: So Ajan isn't coming with us then? (just giving us camels?)

2: Sinjin: Is this a genie ally/servant of Salahudin?

3: the marching order is very "wide"

As far as the original question, well... there are both advantages and disadvantages to having us like this - on one hand it's a bit odd to have all of them behind us, but on the other hand there is some strength at being together.

1: Ajan and his 12 nomads are coming with you...until a point. They're not henchmen like Nimar and his rogues. They're just an escort until you reach your destination. For example, House Bakr is superstitious against the Badu al-Kabir, so won't go with you there, instead they'd part ways and wish you well. They also wouldn't go tomb-robbing (where the Sultan's treasure cache is located) with you, and would emphatically part ways at that point. Also, I have no desire to run that many NPCs in combat, so I'm treating them more as background color. They're "around." If you all want to specify where exactly, be my guests, otherwise I'll just use my best DM judgment if the need arises. If combat occurs while Ajan and his nomads are with you, I'll be hand-waving their involvement, not rolling dice.

2: Yes, Sinjin is the tasked genie bound to Salahuddin.

3: Propose a change? The visual is just a starting point to facilitate you guys discussing your marching order. I do need to know marching order, however, so however you want to figure it out, be my guest.

The flying carpet is a re-skinned flying broom, so it only holds me. Actually, reading the description you could hop on in an emergency, but I imagine it to be the size of prayer rug / yoga mat (for those not familiar with a prayer rug :p ) Two people on it for a long expedition into the desert just doesn't seem right.

Are we staying in the "pancake" formation or are we going to do a 2 wide file?

OK if the top of this post is the front of your caravan, and the bottom is the rear...

It sounds like you want to go 2-wide, and also that you want some PCs bringing up the rear guard (NOT Nimar al-Solak and his rogues)?

Maybe something like this.... I dunno, just throwing this out there cause I need *something* from you guys clarifying marching order.

.....front.....

Husam / Harun

Akilah / NPC Ajan (for now)

Ankabut "Amina" / NPC Ajan's 2nd

Spare or pack camels

NPCs Nimar al-Solak and his rogues

Salahuddin / Lal Qalandar

NPC Sinjin

Rest of NPC Ajan's men

.....rear.....

Everyone sound off? tglassy Matthan Shayuri Thateous VLAD the Destroyer Ancalagon? If this DOES work for you, also post what (if anything) you'd change about marching oder when Ajan and his men are gone. Thanks!
