Again! That makes two so far!

(ducks and runs before @EzekielRaiden shows up)
It may be as bland as unflavored oatmeal and (as noted by others) a poor fit for 5e's combat process, but it is a non-PHB subclass of a PHB class, so I'll take it.

Still think Wildfire or Stars should have won though. Those are flavorful and creative takes on the classic concept. "I have fairy and animal friends!!" is almost painfully uncreative when it comes to Druids.

Not everything needs to be a subversion or alt take. The Shephard actually fulfills what the Druid is conceptually, IMO.

Okay but...

We got Lore Bard, the "fulfills what the [Bard] is conceptually" subclass, and likewise with the Totem Barbarian and Tempest Cleric. You say "not everything needs to be a subversion or an alt take," but we haven't gotten a subversion or an alt take as a winner yet!

How is the tempest cleric in the same category as the lore bard?

....seriously? The "Thor's hammer," dropping holy fury from the skies while also mixing it up in melee Cleric? That isn't as bog-standard as you can get without being the (incredibly dull) Life Cleric?

Knowledge is an alt-take (an official one! It used to exist as the Cloistered Cleric in 3e.) Trickery is a subversion.

Yeah, Thor ain’t a cleric.

Being the storm is more a Druid thing, and the cleric in melee just starts to disappear into the Paladin.
