A little thing called Generating Reviews.

thele, if you think I was tough on Unorthodox Fighters, you should see what I said about Gnomes: Masters of Illusion, or what I say when I am editing stuff :)

As far as the two concerns you specifically mentioned about the review, I did expressly say that non-standard progressions are a personal bugbear of mine - not everyone will feel the same way. As for the AoO thing, four of the five classes have abilities that override the AoO rules: three of them in major ways. To me, that's a pattern that merits comment. Had there been one that overrode the AoO rules, another that overrode some other rule, and so on, I likely wouldn't have picked up on it.

If you want to discuss anything else about the review, feel free to PM me. I definitely do feel the book is a 3/5, not a 1/5 :)

It's all good. I've had time to think about it, and I agree with your final judgement, and would happy to see you review more of my books.

Hooah.

I don't have any trouble with you shipping the Alea stuff out for reviews. The only thing that might be on you plate from us is "MindCraft", though I'm not sure if Josh sent it to you yet.

I have asked my publisher (he's about 6 posts above this one - hi, Phil!) to submit Prestige Secrets: Assassins for review.

yes, I got that on July 5th

Not that I'm not terribly grateful for another Bloodlines review (just posted today)... but we released that product more than a year ago. Did I accidentally send you that instead of Fear Effects, or was there possibly a mixup when you mailed the reviewer the PDF? Again--I'm not complaining about another 4-star review of Bloodlines. I'm just making sure I didn't screw up when sending review copies of our newest product.

No, you sent me the right one.

For the Revew Project that I'm starting in this thread, the idea is to generate a wide assortment of reviews. It will be on old products as well as new and involve as many different publishers as I can get. The Review Project is not to help me get therough my workload, that is my responsibility and I will get through it. The Review Project is to generate more PDF reviews and to give the chance for a wide range of people to try out reviewing.

Seems like it's working so far, Crothian. The amount of reviews in the last few days has been steady and excellent. Keep it up, I think you have a great project here.

If there are other companies that want to jump aboard and jion us in the PDF REview Project; that would be great. As of right now it has generated 22 reviewswith 18 more in the works. The distrubution of products by different publishers has been pretty even so far. This is day 9 of the experiement.
