Possibly Aasimar, but they surprised me a little with Dragonborn, so I'm looking forward to the surprises they might have in store for FR.

We know from R&C that 4thed will be aas free.

4thed will have celestials as the "light-side counterpart" to tieflings. "You'll meet a race of celestials who have plunged through the transforming fires as the tiefling".

So I call it thus: celestials will be the new PC race in the 4th ed FRPG.

My hopes are either for Genasi (for their PS potential ;) ) or Orcs (a playable orc race would be great, I loved Orkworld by John Wick :) )

Are there any groups in the Realms that would be likely to make a wholesale pact with upper planar beings? One of the FR analogues to ancient Egypt, Babylon and the like, perhaps?

I think that a race introduced in the FRCS will be FR specific.

Writing up Gnomes up solely in the FRCS would cause a howl of outrage from many, many quarters - for example.

So, what race is uniquely a FR playable race as opposed to other settings?
