A New Power: Early New Republic Campaign

The game will be a parallel to my current Star Wars PbP, with what one group does affecting the other. The two groups will meet occasionally, but not often.
I visualize this smaller group as being a semi-covert group that does special missions for the Alliance. Deep reconnasiance, technological espionage, *cough*glorified package delivery*cough* that sort of thing.
Playing a force user would be kind of sticky in the situations this group will be getting into, so I would recommend the tech specialist. Don't worry, such a character won't be relegated to making occasional repair rolls and suchlike.

Hmmm....that might work. You would likely be reprogrammed for technological examinations / schematic replication of advanced tech devices which the team might encounter, in addition to the basic abilities of the droid.
Change Knowledge: Astronomy to Knowledge: Advanced/Obscure Technology, and you should be good. And give yourself another level of Tech Specialist.
I just put up a new OOC thread for this group. Go ahead and put your droid's stats and history there.

I would love to jump in on this one if there is still room. I'm currently playing in another Star Wars game with Ambrus, but definitely have enough time to play in this one as well.
The character concept I was thinking of was a young (19 - 20 year old) hotshot Scoundrel with a level in Force Adept.
If there is room, I will flesh out the concept and create a character.

Glad to have you aboard Melkor. I believe there are still two spots left (not counting yourself). Keep in mind though that Angcuru considers Force using characters as somewhat of a bad fit for this group (I originally asked to play one myself).
Now I'll have to make extra certain that my two droid characters in both campaigns don't come off as personality clones of each other.

Melkor - 2nd spot goes to you. Scoundrel sounds good, but I'm kind of iffy on the Force Adept thing. Force users play a key role in the other group, with only one PC out of 5 not being force sensitive. Chances are that if you're a force sensitive, you'll end up being absorbed by said group. In which case I'd have to recruit another player to fill the vacancy that would be left in your absence from this group. If you REALLY want to play one I'll allow it, but just keep that in mind. (See my Star Wars story hour for further details.) to OOC you go.
