A Teacher for Laynie: Mystery at the Academy (Part 2)

[Rystil Arden]

"Heh, it's okay...But yeah, I think we need to find the secret library, and fast. I managed to acquire a floorplan of the Sice tower complex, including the dorms and all the other facilities. The secret library is not listed, of course--many of the places there are not labeled, though I think I know what most of them are. Still, it's a place to start, right?"

 

[Bront]

"Yup, let's see what we can make of it, then get me in there with that cloak."

 

[Rystil Arden]

*Elektra nods. They head back to her room, where Laynie is eating her candy happily and drawing a picture. When they come in with a map, she looks at it quizzically.*

"Ooh, a map! I wonder what it's of--why are there no words, Mister Vanitri?"

"It doesn't have labels, Laynie," Lex explains instead of Vanitri.

"Oh--maybe the fun book that puts extra words will put some words for the map?" Laynie asks, putting her book on top of the map and opening it up to a two-page spread that has a somewhat-smaller version of the map that fits in the book, except that everything is labeled.

 

[Bront]

"Where did you get that Laynie?"

 

[Rystil Arden]

"It's the same one as always from before--you put it on something, and it copies it and adds extra notes and stuff. Remember with the other books?"

(OOC: She used it much earlier to get some notes on a textbook for Vanitri at least once. I believe she also got notes on one of the bad boring textbooks he brought her and pointed out that the notes mentioned that the textbook Vanitri had brought was rubbish )

 

[Bront]

"Oh, yeah, that one," Vanitri says. "Any notes on a secret library?"

 

[Rystil Arden]

"Hmm...I'm looking," Lex checks, "Incredible! There's a spot labeled here as the entrance to the secret library, and the text here mentions how to open the secret door. This book is amazing!"

 

[Bront]

"Well, looks like we'll need Truman's cloak. Any notes on how to enter though more discrete areas?"

Vanitri studies his route carefully, as well as instructions on how to open it.
