Hadrak hesistates a moment. It's not very respectful to your employer to second guess him and make him jump through hoops... But then it's not very respectful of him to Hadrak and his allies at such a disadvantage either.

Sheng's face remains impassible, although Hadrak's words have reached his ears and have already triggered a storm of thoughts. "Drop whatever charade you have Alfred. I recomend you deliver the pay and be on your way. It would be foolish of you to try to betray ones such as us. Do not force us to take the gold from you, because we will certainly do so."
