Advancing a Brain in a Jar

It came up in my game once (fighting a golem on a boat), and after working out the math, we figured out that Iron Golems would float.

Go figure.
It's not just a brain in the belly of a iron golem - it's also a pirate!

I can't help picturing a brain with an eyepatch.

Piracy is just a sideline - he's really looking for the white whale that ate the rest of his body...

He's gonna need an Awakened Dire Ape to carry him around.
Give the ape a beret too.
100 xp to whoever gets the reference.

Better yet.. Switch the Jar to a Globe and attach it TO the Dire Ape, allowing the Brain to control it directly..

200 xp to whoever gets THAT reference.

One of the ideas I had with the whole Brain in a Jar was to make it into a 'mastermind' for an Ebberon game. The brain was a VERY high level Telepath and imprinted on a variety of minions who were 'the Boss', 'Mastermind' or whatever, only to return again and again (more minions picked out to be inprinted)

Couldn't quite figure the balance of it out though.

Okay I have a solution to the brain in a Jar of force problem -
give the Jar a copper base/ bottem that is not protected by force - hardness 8 or smthin, then use burrowing power to create line of effect through the copper.

I may be using this myself.
