Adventure: Delivery of Death (DM: Luinnar, Judge: renau1g)

Kasha looks on with satisfaction as RAM TIGER carries out his usual post-combat winding down ritual.

She rounds on the idiot priest with a scowl of rage as soon as he pipes up. "Are you touched in the head, old man? MEDDLE IN YOUR AFFAIRS? We just caught you carting a KILLER ZOMBIE around in a wooden box! You're damned lucky if we don't bury you along with him, and believe me, I haven't made up my mind about that yet. It'd be a good start if you'd drop that holier-than-thou tone and start THANKING us for fixing that little problem that you were trying to cover up like it was an embarrassing skin condition. And you'd BETTER not have done this before, or you can bet that we're not gonna be around to help you out when your little backwoods graveyard starts sprouting zombies."

[sblock=OOC]Yay for armour! Thanks. Gambler's Suit is a nice catch, silly of me really not to notice that it's the same item level as the basic +2.[/sblock]

The priest turns his attention to Kasha. "Maybe because I am "holier-than-thou" heathen!" he shouts. "You come to our town, kidnap Luc," he says pointing to the strange youth, "stick your nose in our business, which we had under control" he says shaking the chains at Kasha "and then you let your animal defile our dead! Don't you dare threaten me!" he shouts even louder. "Get off Souragne! We don't need your help! We don't want your help! And you definitely could not give us any help!" with that he rips the head from RAM TIGER's mouth and walks off to find the horses.

GM: The priest is really mad now, helping bury the dead man is probably not going to make him like you any more, unless someone wants to try some diplomacy rolls ;)

...JERK

RAM TIGER hacks and wheezes as his bruised trachea gives him trouble. He falls-in along side Kasha.

The battle over, Dorn rushes to Ingot's side. Placing his head against the warforged's body, he listens, and is relieved to hear some very subtle whirring and clinking noises inside.

Dorn shakes his head in bewilderment as the priest storms off. I've been in some strange towns, but this one takes the cake, he thinks.

"I, for one, would like an explanation, however cursory, of what exactly is going on around here. But perhaps it is best to leave this priest for now until he has calmed a bit. Let us go to this baker."

OOC: So, short rest before heading to the bakery? One surge would take Kasha to 25/27, I'll probably stick with that - I guess no healing powers are going spare?

GM: Go ahead and take as many short rests as you need, you can add 1d6+4 to hp since Ingot will heal you during that time. (unless ryryguy does not want Ingot to heal you for some reason :p)

Jax nods to Dorn.

"Right, let's go. Maybe she can answer the questions, too."

Jax starts at a fast pace toward the bakery, eager to leave the scene of carnage. When he passes Luc, the kobold stops in his tracks and cranes his head up to speak with the youth.

"Luc? You are not kidnapped. Leave if you want."

After being healed, Ingot thanks the priest. It looks on with dismay as RAM TIGER dismembers the corpse. It hurries around after the gnoll attempting to tidy up the torn remains, seeming to be mostly concerned about the mess rather than any desecration. When it notices the priest shaking the chains before walking off, it calls after him, "Sorry about the chains. I can repair them for you, if you like."

OOC: (Sorry not to post, I've been busy)

And yes Ingot will be glad to use more healing words since it gets back 4 HP each time thanks to Battle Healer feat. Let me know how many are needed for everyone else so then I know how many more surges to spend to get back to full.
