OOC: Finnean would have spent one surge during the short rest.

OOC: Do any of the emblems/logos match the erm...mints...of...those bars of gold previously. Or stamps on them or something...
Not sure how mints works.

Ironheart lumbers forwar, bends creakily from the waist, and peers through the plate in the nearest door, scanning the room beyond for enemies. He holds his axe ready to strike at the first opponent that shows themselves.

I guess I'll assume opening the plate in a door is a minor action.

Move: move to F8
Minor: open the plate in the southern door and look through
Standard: ready an action: attack the first enemy that comes in range with Warden's Lunge, charging if possible

Ixenvalignat admires Ironheart's caution, but regards it little, "They already know we're here. We might as well come in!" The dragonborn's hind talon slams into the door, which does not appear to budge, "Anybody home!?" he yells through the eye-slot, nearly pushing Ironheart's eyes out of the small porthole. [sblock=Actions]Move: to the door at which Ironheart is standing.

Standard: Kick the door in!
Strength Check: 1d20+6=16 (OK, so I might need to try again :p)[/sblock]
OOC: Sorry for the bravado, but in the words of Han Solo, "I prefer a straight fight to all this sneakin' around!" ;)

Finnean motions for the others to wait as he creeps forward, trying to get a better look upstairs. (Stealth Check 14)
GM: @SonofMeepo: Finnean is quite stealthy, hiding in plain sight while under a brightly lit torch!

Jesse inspects the hanging tapestries.
GM: treex: Jesse doesn’t recognize the symbols or the scenes depicted on them nor does he see any connection with the gold trade bars and the ancient hangings.

Ironheart lumbers forward, bends creakily from the waist, and peers through the plate in the nearest door, scanning the room beyond for enemies. He holds his axe ready to strike at the first opponent that shows themselves.
GM: JoeNotCharles: Yes, opening a panel is a minor action. Ironheart looks into the room and in the near darkness, he sees numerous bundles of cloth, more refuse, but no creatures.

Cyrus stands by warily, ready to strike out at any enemy he sees.

Torchlight shines forth into the room and reveals an empty chamber. By the looks of it, the room serves as some type barracks for the goblins you’ve faced thus far. The bundles of cloth turn out to be bedding, though completely covered with grime and filth. Entering the room through the western door reveals much of the same. A quick cursory search reveals of both rooms turn up some hidden treasure.
GM: You find: personal effects (shiny bits of colored glass, polished knucklebones, a necklace of shriveled ears, etc)
385 gp, a large amount of silver pieces in a silver chased coffer (2,090sp), a jeweled dagger (non-magical 200gp), and 3 sunrods

Through the eastern door, a common area is revealed, where the creatures would dine. Refuse and rotting garbage lay in heaps around the walls. Some finely wrought silverware can be found, but in desperate need of cleaning.
GM: Here you find: almost 4 complete sets of fine silverware (total: 250gp)

Apparently, all the tower’s occupants are on the next level up. The heroes prepare themselves, and then begin to ascend the stairs.
GM: Anyone want to take any actions prior to ascending the stairs? You are aware that there are numerous goblins, at least three sharpshooters and at least one other creature commanding the goblinoids.

[sblock=Map]

Illumination: Inside: Bright; torch-light
Interior Doors: Wooden; 8-feet tall; each door has a sliding iron panel at eye level for a Medium creature.
The panels can be opened from either side, as a Minor Action.[/sblock]

OOC: The idea was to try to go ahead of the group and peek over the top of the stairs to get a quick glance at what's up top without being noticed.

OOC: I don't think I actually know any rituals. Mages don't get rituals...I think. BTW, why does this thread seem to be dying? *sniff*
