[Adventure] Dusk and Her Embrace (Judge: THB)

I have, it wasn't in existance when he was made and last level I had some retraining to do. Next level I need Venom Hand Master to do necrotic AND poison damage (via Spirit poison) with my power and ignore Poison resist/imune so I can damage everything (even undead) with my necrotic powers...so, I will take it as soon as 10th level :)

[sblock=MetaVoid]Right. Interesting idea. Though a lot of undead are also resistant to necrotic, so you're still going to be hampered by them. When you have the gold, you could always consider investing in a Rod of Stolen Starlight. It's really nice against undead. The drow darklock I plays runs with a darkspiral rod/rod of corruption as his main implements, and a rod of stolen starlight as a backup.

Also note, that there is an unresolved rules debate regarding immunity and multiple damage types. By a narrow reading of the rules, it can be argued that immune does not share the rule on multiple damage types that resist does. By that argument, immune <damage type> is more than resist infinite <damage type>, in that a creature who is immune to a damage type takes no damage from that type even if it is combined with other damage types.

OOC: I plan to move to G11 and attack the bloodied zombie, but I wanted to give Deimos a shot at throwing a burst in the area first.

The thing is, unless there is errata I'm not aware of, Venom Hand Master IGNORES resists AND immunities. Therefore nothing should be resistant/immune to poison and thus necrotic res doesn't come into play because the creatuere doesn't have two resists. Expensive (three feats), but permanent. And yes, I know about starlight, but I think it requires to be used for the attack.

OOC: Right, but you don't have Venom Hand Master for 2 more levels, so the question is, does Spirit Poison actually hurt you against undead now by making your necrotic attacks completely ineffective? I tend to treat it as infinite resistance, but I'm not sure all DMs would.

EDIT: I should add, that I mean I treat immune as infinite resistance for the purposes of attacks that deal multiple damage types, but not the same for all purposes. For instance, Deimos' Pyromancy Apprentice allows him to ignore fire resistance. That would not help him against creatures immune to fire.

Bellegon shrugs at the attack, not yet really hurt and plunges his shadow encased dagger that somehow appeared in his hands instead of the rod into the corpse.
Shadows flare, pushing dead adventurer away and Bellegon moves to safer spot.

[sblock=Actions]
Free: Fast Hands stash off hand rod
Minor: Curse H9
Free: knifethrower gauntlets, draw dagger as part of the attack
Standard: Eldritch Strike vs AC (Z H9); damage; curse (1d20+12+1=22, 1d4+5=6, 1d6=5) - forgot CA from blinded, add 1 to damage (12 total) from talon amulet - SLIDE TO H (taken) I10 - BLAST READY !
Move: D10, gain concealment from shadow walk

Everyone: I get into melee every now and then. If you target Will or Reflex and can hit 3 or more enemies and Bellegon is not bloodied, fire away even if he's in the area.

Deimos needs to be reviewed

Deimos Vrago, Tiefling Wizard (Mage) 5

Deimos silently steps forward, trying to combine his magic with the runepriest's to knock the enemies prone. It works even batter as he could hoped for as two zombie heads explode and even the death priest is pushed back.

[sblock=OOC]
Deimos is level 5, but not yet approved for this level.

Move: to D 11
Standard: Beguiling Strands down
(I assume the zombies have the standard vulnerability to critical hits)

push:
11G -> 12H prone, takes 7 damage
9H -> 9I prone, takes 5 damage
Not pushing the priest, takes 5 damage

Ghourra emerges from the staircase spotting a wounded and prone zombie.

"I've got this one."

She skirts the pitched battle until she is adjacent to the prone zombie and the priest. Her weapon is sheathed in Dol Arrah's radiance as she strikes at the dead adventurer, nearly decapitating it.

"BACK TO THE SHADOWS WITH YA!"

[sblock=actions]Move: H13 (avoid OAs)
Standard: Brand of the Sun (hits Zombie in I12 for 14 radiant damage).Brand of the Sun vs AC (I12) (1d20+10+2=29, 2d6.minroll(2)+8=14)[/sblock]

OOC: I did not add any vulnerability as I am assuming the zombie will have radiant vulnerability greater than the 2 granted by Brondin.

[sblock=Immediate/Free Actions]The first time Ghourra is damaged by an attack while bloodied, she will use Resilience of Stone to spend her second wind as an immediate interrupt and spend 2 healing surges (cloak of the walking wounded). If for some reason she is prevented from taking immediate actions, she will use her dwarven finemail as a free action.[/sblock]
