"Yes. Let us rest and prepare. They will have the upper hand because they know the Monastery and also now know of our capabilities. Yanni will likely be back with them as well. How should we go about strengthening our defenses?"

"Hmmm... it would be helpful, to fully regain our strength. Yanni did say that the next attack would not be for eight hours. Obviously, it's possible, even likely, that he was lying."

[sblock=ooc]Didn't use my daily here, I might have given the chance, but since it's a melee attack, there was no opportunity...

Ingot is a bit low on surges at this point (3 left), wouldn't mind getting that back up to full. But, it doesn't seem absolutely necessary.

The question is, if we do try to sleep and the attack comes, what are the consequences? I guess we have two warforged who don't need to actually sleep during an "extended rest", so can we keep watch?

As for other defensive preparations... it's kind of hard to say without knowing more about the layout, resources, etc. Can we just do some kind of abstract "find the best defensible spot and prepare it" thing, maybe with skill checks? Or some other way of approaching it?[/sblock]

Wasn't the plan for Brother Micah to move the diamond from it's current holding place to a new location, while you set up a fake and await Rigas there?

Heck, I even have a map ready for that.

OOC: Extended rest for the weary sounds like a good idea - if we are interrupted, then it will be no worse than if we hadn't rested anyway.

And yeah, almost forgot about the fake-out plan - let's do that!

(Personnally, I thought were just moving the diamond to a defendable place. The switcharoo was a later addition I kinda missed until now.
