Adventure: Fire and Ice

[sblock=Minions]Also, don't be affraid to have the minions be of higher levels than the players.

And scattered ranged minions peppering the PCs fare much better than average minions.[/sblock]

Slamming against the wall from Dorn's magical power, Crag grins fiercly. Raising his sword in the air once more, Crag creates a double epitaph of stone in the shape of two fists giving the international one-fingered salute to his enemies.

You'll have to do better than THAT to take me down! Try that one again... and this time put yer backs into it! says Crag, pointing at his two foes.

Dorn! I'll try to hold these guys off while you take em out!

Calling out to Terra, Crag hunkers down in a defensive stance and dares his foes to try to hit him.

[sblock=Actions]
- Minor Action: Warforged Resolve gives Crag + 3 THP and restores 3 hit points.
- Standard Action: Second Wind restores 10 hit points and gives him a defense bonus of +7 to AC, and +2 to F/R/W. (extra +5 to AC is from Guardian Might: Earthstrength class feature)
- Free Action: Mark both hammers flanking him.

- Action Point for Standard Action: Total Defense gives another +2 to all defenses for a grand total of +9 to AC and +4 to F/R/W, giving Crag the following defenses:

AC: 29, F: 20, R/W: 16 (not bad eh?)

And with that, I give the DM one reminder: Even if a foe rolls a natural 20 on attack against me, if that attack is against AC and it DOESN'T give him a total of 29 (or higher) to his attack, the hit is just a normal hit, not a crit ^_^

Also, feel free to roll my Warden's Fury power if someone attacks Dorn and is adjacent to me. If no one is going to stay adjacent to me, and decides to attack Dorn (but still within 5 squares), I will use Warden's Grasp instead.

[sblock=Crag's Stats]
Crag - Warforged Warden 1
Passive Perception 15, Passive Insight 10
AC 20, Fort 16, Reflex 12, Will 12 (Currently at 29/20/16/16 due to effects; see actions block above)
HP 23/42 + 3 THP, Bloodied 21, Surge Value 10, Surges 13/14
Speed 6, Initiative +0
Action Points: 0/1, Second Wind
At-Will Powers: Warden's Fury, Warden's Grasp, Strength of
Stone
, Thorn Strike
Encounter Powers: Earth Spikes, Warforged Resolve
Daily Powers: Form of the Willow Sentinel (Form of the Willow Sentinel Attack)

Note on Warden's Fury and Warden's Grasp:

Warden's Fury gives me a free attack against any of my marked foes adjacent to me that attack any of my allies (as an
Immediate Interupt). If it hits, it does my normal basic attack damage, but it also makes the target grant combat advantage
until the end of my next turn.

Warden's Grasp lets me slide any of my marked foes within 5 squares of me that attack any of my allies. The slide is one
square and it also slows them and doesn't allow them to shift until the end of it's turn (this is an Immediate Reaction).
[/sblock]

[sblock=minions] It also helps if you don't let the PCs KNOW that they are minions. That way we don't know to target them for insta-death =P [/sblock]

[sblock=Kalidrev]With all your second-winding and so forth, does it still make sense for Ingot to use a Healing Word? And I guess I should delay until after your action, so you're still bloodied when you use Warforged Resolve?

(It seems I should definitely hold off on the Healing Strike...)[/sblock]

[sblock=Ryryguy]
Well... my turn has already come and gone, so I already have the +3 temp hps from Warforged Resolve (used it this turn).

Healing: YES PLEASE! Even with second wind and Warforged Resolve, I only healed 13 hp, bringing me up to 23 hp and 3 temp hp. I could definitely use more healing if you could provide it. Both of the warhammer guys recharged their uber-hit powers, so I have a feeling they're going to lay the smack down on me, lol. If they DON'T use it on their turns this round, then I will have even more need for the extra hps cause I will be much easier to hit next round! thanks! [/sblock]

[sblock=Dorn] If ingot heals me, and you've got something up your sleeves that can pile on the pain, but I am in the way... do it anyways! I don't mind taking a big hit if it means that you take out the hammer brothers =P [/sblock]

[sblock=Kalidrev]Ok, Ingot will definitely use Healing Word on Crag for surge + 1d6 + 3... do you think that's enough? I can try to use Healing Strike as well, but I'm afraid I'll miss with it. (Not that it'll necessarily get any easier to hit later in the fight, so that's maybe not a great reason to hold back...)[/sblock]

Dorn quickly moves to aid Crag, hoping to lay low the enemies surrounding him before they can take down the mighty 'forged.

"NnnngAAAHAHAHASDGFADSFHHA!!" Dorn shouts. Psychic energies overwhelm his mind, but they do not have the desired affect. Instead, an enormous shockwave of energy blasts forth, pushing away both friend and foe.

Slamming against the wall from Dorn's magical power, Crag grins fiercely. Raising his sword in the air once more, Crag creates a double epitaph of stone in the shape of two fists giving the international one-fingered salute to his enemies.

Hadrak is undaunted by Rigas fury and retaliate with a powerful torrent of radiant energy that sears to flesh of his enemies and bolster Skaliss with divine might.

-''Strike them down, Skaliss! Show him who is the pretender!''

Ingot's eyes blaze brightly as it watches its comrade Crag take a pounding from the hammerers. It starts to move to the other warforged's aid, only to be rocked back by the wild magic bursting forth from Dorn. Shaking its head, it resumes its course, praying as it closes with its target. "What our enemies' hammers have damaged, let Vulkar's hammer repair..." Divine energy flows around Crag, and his damaged chassis groans and pops as it is repaired.

Reaching the closest hammerer, Ingot draws its fullblade back for a big swing. The steel glows as it fills with divine light.

Skalisss, moved along with the others by a burst of energy from Dorn, attacks both enemies in whirl of steel. "Let usss concentrate on one enemy, my friend" he says to Hadrak.

The hammer manages to find the mark this time against Skalisss, causing a minor wound on the paladin.

The enemies near Crag look at each other, then the northern one steps away and then rushes towards the sorceror, catching Dorn while he recovers his senses and slams him with the warhammer. The other tries to catch Crag, but is nowhere near the mark.

Rigas shifts around Skalisss and tears into him with his claws, one catching the dragonborn and causing another icy hot wound.

OOC: Dorn gains 5 tmp hp for being bloodied the first time from Half-Orc Resilience

Dorn's face takes on an unusually wild countenance as he reels from the hammerer's blow. Without thought or conscious effort, an enormous ball of flashing, multi-colored power flies from his hands at the one who struck him. (OOC: Chromatic Orb hits hammer one for 22 radiant damage, and hammer one is dazed (save ends) Dorn will also apply furious assault damage - 4 extra damage brings total to 26). Recovering himself somewhat, Dorn retreats to a safer location (OOC: Move to G11) and tries to steady himself.

-''Hey! Who pushed me?! Who the hell... Right, go invisible you coward, I'll deal with you later!''

Hadrak moves away from the melee... again. Damn this invisible pusher. He launches a divine spell at the hammering villain but because he is distracted he misses by mere inches.

[sblock=Skaliss]We should kill Hammer2 first, actually. He'll fall a lot faster and Rigas is kind of neutered by Astral Condemnation right now.[/sblock]

[sblock=Healing-Ingot]Don't heal Dorn. He'll be all right now that he's out of melee and that all these goons are melee based.

I'll catch him with my Healer's Mercy power sooner or later anyway.
