Adventure: Food of the Gods (DM: ryryguy, Judge: renau1g)

[sblock=Azryah]From U15, you still cannot see the halfling, but you do hear him moving on the other side of the westernmost rank of burning trees (remember, they contain thick smoke which blocks vision). There's too much crackling from the fire to pinpoint him exactly, but you know he's in column 19 or 20 and row AB or AC.[/sblock]

[sblock=ooc]1. He did a double run, so 14 16 squares.
2. He didn't stay on that side of the fire due to difficult terrain he'd have had to pass through over there.

(It's possible I made a mistake though, I'll double check... no, looks right.)[/sblock]

[sblock=OOC]Which set of columns is the gate into this enclosed area in, since I'm thinking that if we can stop him from getting out we can eventually end this fight turned trackmeet.[/sblock]

"Are you people coming, or am I giving chase alone? This way," she called behind her before continuing to move off in the direction of the noise.

[sblock=mechanics]Second action is a run to AC17 and pray to whatever god is appropriate that he's in LoS now.

[sblock=Cillani]If you use your windsoul flight power you can move to W19 and that'll let you have clear line of sight to lightning up that halfling again. Then we can try and catch him in a pincer between you and Azryah. Go go divine retribution! [/sblock]

[sblock=Azryah]From there you can see the halfling! He's in AB19.[/sblock]

[sblock=Cillani, Azryah (and Mezegis)]Cillani is in her fire manifestation, not air, so unfortunately she can't use the windsoul power. That does mean she can pretty much ignore the fire squares. However, it looks like it's still a bit too far for her to get all the way to row 19, where she'd need to be to get the slinger in her direct line of sight. (Unless she runs, and then it's a -5 to hit.)

She certainly can get close enough for another vanguard lighting area attack where line of sight doesn't matter. I'd say that Azryah can easily guide her as to where to place the attack.[/sblock]

[sblock=Terrain question]ryry, if I were to take a running start and long jump over the burning tiles to land in 19/20ish, would I still take the d6 per square? I'm not sure if it's like a smoldering brushfire, or a 10 foot tall wall of flame.[/sblock]

Papolstaanas, scrabbling frantically at the side of the hut, yells, "I'm coming! I've just got my shield caught on the... Ouch! the twigs in this wall are really--! Maybe I can twist around like...AAAAHH! I think my shield arm is...That hurts! Now it's stuck on the...If I can just reach...up, like this, standing on the..."--there is a splintery crash and a yelp, then--"Oh, fudge, it's too high, I think I'll...Perhaps I can...no, no, there would be better...darnit, the frost keeps whooshing all over and it's too--"
