Adventure: Hey! That's Not Wayne's Basement! (DM: H.M.Gimlord, Judge: Ozymandias79)

The ronin advanced forward, seeing his fallen friends, "I will make them pay for this, Rujah!" Jin proceeded up the corridor and after the enemies.

[sblock=OOC]Not this time. B36 is actually adjacent to the spiretop drake, who is not able to respond until his turn. Good move.[/sblock]

Jin heads down the passage, passing Fenwick as he begins to come to. As he rounds the corner of the passage, he spies the drake, resting on the floor. The beast's eyes go wide with fear as Jin approaches, trampling over the headless body of the fallen bandit.

ooc: What the... I will risk not having 8 HP for another combatant.
keep the aid the injured ready for the PC, not the ally.

OOC: No, Talon doesn't have his second wind left. Made a death save for him on Dice Room. Got a 4, so he's failed 2 death saves now. If you have to choose between healing Dayna or Talon at this point, I'd say do Talon since Dayna is at least stable.

[sblock=OOC]
Where is Talon? Is he one of the corpses strewn about the floor? Or haven't we found him yet? Also, can Rujah move through Jin's square to help him with the Drake?

Edit: Oh, and HM, Rujah's using a hammer, not an axe. You said axe a couple times in the fluff. Very minor, but figured I'd point it out, so you didn't have me decapitating people with a blunt weapon... unless Rujah got like a huge crit or something.[/sblock]

  1. You haven't found Talon yet. With how littered the floor is becoming with bodies, I wouldn't make you rely on your map skills to find your unconscious ally. I'm not that cruel. Am I? :angel: I do, however, suggest that you (especially Riardon) keep moving. Talon just failed his second death save.
  2. Unfortunately, Jin is blocking the entrance, so you'll have to end your move in another space, which risks provoking an OA.
  3. Sorry about the 'axe' thing. I just finished writing Fenwick's fluff, and I forgot to change weapons. My left brain is actually aware that Rujah has a hammer. In fact, the decapitating blow (a long while back) was supposed to be done by a hammer. The recent decapitation was done by Fenwick, who does have an axe. Crits don't come often enough to make the fluff interesting, so I sometimes have to help things along with some unrealistic embellishment. If a character dies on a crit, trust me, it will be memorable ;).[/sblock]
[sblock=BB]You can post actions this round if you want, since Riardon spent an IW on you.[/sblock][sblock=OOC]This is not a suggestion. Just a reminder that I'm not aware of anyone who has spent a daily, and several of you still have APs left.[/sblock]

Rujah moves swiftly, his large, muscled bulk moving with alacrity despite the blood dripping into his eyes, giving the room a red sheen. Moving aside Jin, he slammed his hammer into the ground, vines and roots rising from the ground to attack the Drake who had for so long harassed him and his allies, they unfortunately cannot reach the flying creature, and Rujah's efforts were in vain.

[sblock=OOC]Things are a little confusing this round, so I figured I'd sum up here:

Rujah: Actions posted (turn is over)
Talon: Missed a death save (turn is over).
Tenchuu: Needs to complete actions
Riardon: Needs to decide where to use the AI (if at all).
Fenwick: Was revived by Riardon and is prone. Needs to post actions.

You still haven't found Talon. I suggest you keep moving.[/sblock]

[sblock=OOC/Crap]
Okay, updated my actions. I misread Rujahs post. When I saw the attack roll and the damage roll, I assumed he hit. So I used my encounter minor hoping to get enough damage to finish it off and still have my standard to swap for a move. But now I see that he didn't kill it. Frell! Hope that wasted encounter doesn't come back to haunt me.

On top of that, another 4-top of missed attack rolls. Jin is a joke in this adventure. At this point, I have to hope everyone else dies, because otherwise, once they tell people how poorly Jin fights, he'll never be hired again. [/sblock]

[sblock=ooc]on the other hand, Jin's been pretty good about avoiding being hit. That will help in the endgame[/sblock]

Fenwick groans as consciousness returns, and hoarsely grumbles something in his native language, then gets to his feet. Leaving his big axe lying on the ground for the moment he pulls one of the smaller axes from his belt and flings it past Jin. . . and, unfortunately, past the drake as well.

[sblock=actions]
WD didn't roll a die so Fenwick regains 7 (surge value) plus Riardon's Inspiring Word (1d6=4) 11 Hit Points, putting him at six above zero.
Move: Stand up
Minor: Draw throwing axe
Standard: Ranged Basic Attack vs. Drake Thrown Axe vs. Drake (1d20+6=8, 1d6+4=7) Miss.

Once we're done with the drake we're going to find the broad side of a barn and take turns missing it.
