(Adventure) Slaying the Dreamer [Judge: Uriel]

"There it is." Janos states the obvious, "I can't enter, so I'll stay here and wait for you. Just tell me what you are going to do."

"I'm going to go take a stroll about the grounds, to see what I can see from out here," Jack says quietly. "Meanwhile, you folks can sit back and relax a bit." He pulls up the hood of his traveling cloak and double checks his gear, muttering under his breath... "And boy, could you guys use it."

"I'll be back in a few minutes," he says, slinking off into the shadows at the edge of the clearing.

Jack's heading off into the clearing. He'll stay in the shadows near the edge of the clearing as much as possible, while still getting a good view of the mansion, but being wary of any trap or alarms, he won't get any closer than about 50 ft to the house. He's checking out all possible entrances, the general layout of the house and grounds, and getting as good a peek as he can from that distance into any uncurtained windows. He's in no particular hurry, so he'll Take 10 on his Hide and Move Silently checks, and he'll Take 20 when looking into any windows, if possible.

Hide +12, Move Silently +10, Listen +8, Spot +6, Search +6.

Quickwhip shrugs, he's not really bad at moving silently himself, but the other seems to have been trained to it, so exceeds Quickwhips natural talent easily.

"Well, he may have a loud mouth, but he sertainly knowes how to move." the young swordsman says to no one in particular, slightly jelous of the natural flow of the halflings movements.

He takes a seat and sighs, making sure that his sword if free to be drawn if necessary. "Well, I hope he finds something, for you know I'm not looking forward to binding myself as a slave."

What Jack can see through the windows: (assuming that the front of the house (the side with the big door) is north and that from the front left is east, and right is west)

In the south wall, east side is a window which reveals poor beds and a lot of light sourcers. There are about six beds in this room.

In the south west wall: the kitchen

in the west wall, north side, a window which reveals a kind of smithy, though not a really large one.

[sorry for the quality of this post, which is even bad considering my standards, but I've spent the last ... *thinks* ... 15 hours beeing bartender and I've consumed some alcohol (a little too much) during the last one and a half hour... Just hope that you can go on a little without me :)]

OOC: Aside from the windows I can see in, are there others? Can I assume that there are no other doors other than those shown on the plan already, and that there are no guard patrols outside? The house has only one floor, correct?

Once his reconnaissance is complete, Jack silently returns to the others to report what he found. On the house plan Janos had previously shown to them, he indicates the uncurtained windows the lead into a smith shop, a kitchen and what he suspects to be more another room for slave quarters.

"If we can make a good hullabaloo for the guards," Jack suggests, "I could probably jimmy one of the side doors, and get us all in, before anyone notices."

[No outside patrols, 4 windows (the three you looked through and the one with the curtains, no doors than the three already shown, there is only one floor.]aaa

"Well, I'd wager that all we'll figure out from out here," Jack admits when he finishes his report. "We could risk a distraction and try to break in, or we could sell ourselves to the slavemaster of the house... Which ever'd you'd prefer."

Jack grins and his eyes glitter with another one his sudden bright ideas, "Say we do sell overselves in as slaves... There'll be profits as bonus cash, eh?"
