[Adventure] The Mine-Militia Identity. (DM: horticulture; Judge: covaithe)

In a sudden flurry of blades and black leather, the two hidden bugbears appear, slashing at the heroes. The monsters connect with Prime and Drew, drawing both adventurers further into the room with the mesmerizing blur of movement.

Felix and Mina, seeing an opportunity, strike out at their adversaries. Felix's crossbow bolt goes wide, but Mina's bolt of magic strikes unerringly, hitting one of the fast-moving bugbears in the shoulder.

Drew and Prime now exposed, the rest of the bugbears charge forth. The automaton manages to deflect each attempted blow with ease but the monk is not so lucky, getting slashed multiple times.

Throughout the newest volley of attacks, the dragon booms with laughter and stepping from the oversized chair.

Your minions are weak, Dragon! Sharpe says waltzing over to his foes. Haha! I've fought pinatas stronger than you! Sharpe brags, blasting two more minions with a wave of arcane energy.

None of the S-Team goes down that easy. Why don't you join the winning side? You get free healing! Sharpe says, demonstrating by healing Drew. No more going back to your lair, trying to find your last healing potion, no sir!

Distracted by Shape's shout, the bugbears can't notice Prime at his back. The first news of it is a solid shield bash that sends one of the bugbears tumbling formard. Enraged, he turns around just in time to avoid a sword slash.

Use Sharpe's slide to position myself at G11
Standard: Tide of Iron on F11 bugbear. It barely hit, but hits for 9 damage, is Marked, and pushed to E11. Prime follows.
Move: Shift to E12
Action point: Passing attack on same bugbear, fails. Way to waste an action point; I'd have shifted to D12 and marked the second Shadowdancer. Dammit, I could have hit if I targeted the minion instead of focusing on the first BB *headdesk*[/sblock]

OOC: This is what I get by having opened window for too long. Will amend the post soon.
OOC2: I would use the shift to get to E11 as preparation for the burst, but since Prime pushed the enemy into it, in interest of avoiding retcon, I'll shift to flank to E10

Drew allows the powerful sound to carry him toward his enemies and spreads his arms wide as he jumps up, crossing them at just the right moment to rend at the neck of the concealed bugbear. Unfortunately, the sound push was a bit unstable and he wobbles for a moment and the hands come together too early.
[sblock=Draconic]
"The dragon flaps his wings, taking flight"
[/sblock]
He then moves back a bit to avoid having his back exposed to the dragon, while still allowing Prime some positioning advantage.

Drew moves carefuly to get closer to Prime and then explodes in a whirlwing of kicks and punches. Unfortunately, the most dangerous opponents avoids his attacks. Still, bugbear cleavers fall as wheat in front of him.

“Sharpe,” Felix calls out as he dashes forward and hurls a bolt toward the bugbear that’s currently the center of attention. “You are aware that you’re mad, correct?” He shoulders Layla and draws his sword, preparing to defend Mina if any enemies approach.

Drew speaks up as veiled attacker falls in resonant language with sharp prononced esses
[sblock=Draconic]
"Noble dragon, give up this fight and leave to grow powerful. You cannot win this fight with the kind of weakling you surround yourself with. Don't sacrifice your centuries for some misbegoten mine."
[/sblock]

Mina took a few quick sideways steps- just far enough to get a glimpse of the sneaky bugbear. Then she hurled another glitter star of energy at the beast.

[sblock= OOC]
>Move: minimum need to get LoS to Shadowdancer at C11; A2 if possible or A3 or A4, as needed.
>Standard: Magic Missile, attacking the darkness (or rather, BB shadowdancer at C11); deal 7 force.

As their numbers begin to thin, the bugbears get desperate. The monster wearing dark leather moves with an unheard of quickness yet again, slicing into Felix and pushing him closer to the dragon before ducking through the double doors toward Mina.

The last two bugbears both swing at the heroes – one at Prime and the other at Felix – but both attacks are born of desperation and are easily blocked and dodged.

The horse-sized dragon, seeing a fantastic opening, laughs at Drew's request and breathes forth a blistering wave of cold over the adventurers. The only one not quick enough to get out of the way, however, is Felix, who takes the full force of the dragon's breath weapon. He is quickly covered in a mind-numbing frost and ice.
