"Let me guess, looking fer Jaryn? Yer the second drow this week looking fer him. Folk here ain't likely ta talk much ta ya, cuz they're afraid of the cult, tell ya what, if ya don't mind the smell, yer friends can stay in my barn, only cost ya a gold piece each. If them's agree-able to ya, I'll tell ya more over dinner" the man says, missing more teeth than he has, but he seems harmless

"Lead the way to your barn good sir and we'll let you know once we see it. No promises yet, it depends on how much it smells." Sheeva smiles.

To the rest of the group:

"What do you think? A gold each to get a place to sleep, dinner, and some information? That doesn't sound unreasonable." Sheeva says, scratching her nose lightly as she turns towards them.

Pok takes River's brew to Sheeva, and hands it over silently.

"Gag. Gods Pok! What are you trying to do, poison me with this stuff. Where'd you get it?" *cough* *gag*

Valahad nods, and speaks through Lanharath. "The barn is fine by me. Information is more valuable, than a bed at an inn. Let's prepare oursevles for dinner then, we'll see if this one is a cattle farmer or if he grows vegetables."

"It's sounds good with me." replies River. "And this concoction is not well accepted by all person. I've seen some throwing up after drinking it. But if your stomach can manage it, it erase most of the sign of exhaustion you can have. But you need to not abuse of it. I used it a few times during the war, when I had to take care of wounded soldier after a large battle. I could at least stay awake and effective thirty-six hours before taking a nap of six hours and be ready for another long day. Sadly, death work all day and night long and allow little rest."

Lanharath speaks for Valahad and then agrees with Valahad's statements.

"Yes, let us see what information this farmer has to offer us, but be wary. We do not know this farmer and he could be an agent of Khyber, though we doubt it. Between Valahad and ourselves, we should be able to easily ferret out anything fishy with the farmer. That is, if there is anything fishy to find."

The man leads you to a farmhouse on the outskirts of the tiny thorp, his farm is in obvious disrepair, but the corn looks like its growing well, tall as Pok right now, even with a few more months until the harvest. The barn is in similar disrepair, but at least its a roof over your head for a night. The man shows you to the barn, the smell is as bad as he said, but you've dealt with worse in your travels. He departs to go grab some food and comes back with some semi-stale bread and metallic tasting water.

"Name's Abram, so yer looking for yer lost palydin?" the man asks, his hand outstretched as he awaits payment for your room and board.

"Yes." tells River, as he take 5 gold pieces from his pouch. He throw gently two of them to the man and put the three others in sight, to make him understand his talk will earn them. "We are looking for a paladin of the Flame, and also his four companions. They were after a group of followers of Khyber. Some of the cultist have attacked and killed some refugee in Moonwatch. It is one thing to have different belief, but slaughtering people like they did is no way to live in society. Arawai instruct us that live is valuable and we can all live peacefully with our difference. So any information you have about that cult, the paladin, and the Shadow Marches, where they were suppose to head would be welcome."

Lanharath smiles at the shifters excellent diplomatic skills. He smirks and mentally probes Valahad.

"It seems to be that the shifter and the drow have silver tongues. This may be an an advantage to us, as they can speak freely for us while we determine the true nature of the farmer."

Lanharath scans the area with his keen eyes, looking for anything of note, particularly the signs of a trap or hidden people.

[sblock=Perception Check] Lanharath rolls a 29 to spot traps or anything of note. This is a total of 34 against any stealth checks due to his Telepathic Sensitivity feat. [/sblock]

Used to be, the cult’s orcs were thugs that a strong threat and a pitchfork could drive off. Now, they fight like soldiers.” Abram laments, as he settles down with you. "So yer looking fer Jaryn? He was here a few months ago, I reckon it was, him and a few others, remind me like you and yer friends here. All carrying weapons and fancy armours, probably didn't help him against the Cult. So what do I know 'bout the cult? Not much, just stay outta their way, I guess. I ain't knowing too much about no Shadow Marches or nuthin' like that, but that palydin of yers went to the west, he was all grinning, like he found a pot of gold. We all tried to warn'em, but that fool got rocks in his head. I can point ya in the right direction maybe in the morning. Oh, I almost fergot, you ain't the first to come looking fer him in the last few days. Maybe yer brother their dark lady, he looked kinda like you, you know, dark skin and all, he left not two days ago." the man continues.

River hands him the three gold pieces left to pay. "Thank you. I'll have a place for you in my prayer for Arawai. I'll ask her to bless your crops and livestock."

Before concluding the discussion with Abram, River looks at the other. When his eyes cross Lanharath, he let flow in his mind a few words for him. Have you seen anything unusual?. He then cross the eyes of Valahad Do you think he is hiding something to us?
