[sblock=OOC] I know you guys have already dropped the issue, CBN and KD, but just to clarify something (since I was not on this weekend and wasn't privy to the conversation). When Lan goes nova, we're not talking about a "dozen" extra damage. We're talking about an additional 9 damage per ally next to the badguy. With a group of 5 PCs, we're talking about the possibility of having an EXTRA (not total) 36 damage. So we're not talking about a dozen extra damage, we're talking about THREE dozen extra damage. Something that done correctly, COULD potentially wipe out that creature.
Now, with that said, I am CERTAINLY not going to criticize how you played Sheeva. She needed to save her skin in that situation (I know that I personally would not just sit there while a weird tentacle creature grabbed me in the hopes that someone else would save me). So no problem with what you had your character do. It's just unfortunate that I didn't get the chance to pull off my super novaI will not be keeping Lan around after this battle (growing very weary of the Avenger class... Just doesn't suit me. And it's not just this battle that has made me feel this way. It's been in my mind since Lan's first battle). So group dynamics will be changing again. Though it should be far easier with my new character, as he won't be relying on anyone else (big mistake in class design now that I see it... or at least it's a bad idea on MY part for playing someone in PbP that requires the direct assistance of other PCs and their willingness to endanger themselves, lol).
Anywho, back to the game... and great RP KD! [/sblock]
[sblock=OOC]I think you should give Lan a few more encounters now that the two other new players know about Lan's damage requirements. You'd be surprised what we can accomplish together with just a little bit more communication.
