Lord of the Rings tops the list for me, if you're talking Sword and Sorcery. That film distills the classic D&D-ish elements out of Tolkien's book. Evil Overlord? Epic Artifact? Classic Adventuring party? Undead? Demons? Awesome combat scene with a troll? (I swear, you could have yelled "roll initiative!" at the screen for the start of that scene.) Orcs? Valiant Sacrifice to hold off the enemy? Of the three, that one has it all. It's what hundreds of thousands of geeks wanted the D&D movie to be like. :)

Legend, Labyrinth, Conan the Barbarian and Ladyhawke should be in any Fantasy film list!

Ladyhawke is ruined by its music (Tangerine Dream? Who was the genius who thought synthesizer music was good for a dark medieval fantasy movie? - It literally makes it unwatchable for me), which is too bad, because otherwise it is pretty good.

Legend and Labyrinth are both pretty horrible movies, but Conan the Barbarian is friggin' awesome and while it might not make top ten "fantasy" movies, it is definitely top 5 "sword & sorcery".

Don't all of the Indiana Jones movies have fantastical elements, not completely unlike Wonderful Life and 34th Street?

Yep, pretty much so. Ark of Nazi Melting, Burning Stones and the spell Forced Ribcage Entry, and the Grail of Really Slow Aging But You Have To Stay Put.
