I like that the little kid not only knows about Jedi, but knows enough about them to know that they are good guys and wants to be one. They aren't as little known as a lot of people here think.
The droid said it's capable of unprecedented range and speed, so presumably no normal ship would be able to make the intergalactic jump.Regarding the giant hyperspace ring, the smaller ones normally go around a starship without an internal hyperdrive. I’m wondering if Morgan is planning to use hers to bring back Thrawn’s star destroyer. It would probably fit inside that ring.
Some folks here claimed even the rebel alliance wouldn't know about Luke and the Jedi. That kid sort of says that's not true, and if the alliance knows enough about Jedi for kids to want to be one, it's something that will be at least talked about in all corners of the galaxy. Alliance members went back home and represented many species. That's not really representative (I'm going to spoiler this out of an abundance of caution):
His, deceased, father was a jedi (Kanan Jarrus) so of course his mother would tell him all about them and how they are heroes.
Exactly. Thrawn can’t get Chimaera back to the GFFA under normal means, so Morgan has built a giant hyperspace ring to bring it back. That’s my guess. The droid said it's capable of unprecedented range and speed, so presumably no normal ship would be able to make the intergalactic jump.
Certainly possible, but they don't know what state that ship will be in, or even where in the target galaxy it will be, and they'll want to bring some ships with them for reconnaissance. I just figure the ring is at least as much for that as for the return journey - a better option than outfitting a bunch of individual ships with megahyperdrives.Exactly.
