okay, NewJerseyJoe showed some interest ... so I'm gonna just go ahead and stop taking up hits from Boz.

here's some basic ideas/conversions/creations for a Pern-like or inspired campaign.

1st download is campaign ideas (brief), new feats, and a 5-lvl PrC

2nd will be Air Dragons

3rd will Watch Dragons (dragon mutants/runts)

4th will fire lizards (think psionic pseudo dragons)

finally ... should be doing my critiques and final paper ... but noooo here I am

alrighty then NJ:J here's my updated Watch Dragon ... I didn't change the CR but if you think they're to powerful go ahead and use CR 3 (4) instead of 4 (6) ... (psionic template)

a *'d ability means that if you do not use the psionic template be sure to use this ability as supernatural ability as a sorcerer equal to HD

these guys would make pretty powerful familiars ... they do have higher requirements (see the campaign notes in the first post)

Heh...sorry. They're really militant about this sort of thing. She hates fanfiction, fansites.....almost anything of this nature. I've known folk who have been nearly sued over things like this (with Pern-related stuff anyway). Most companies don't care, but McCaffrey actually employs people to search for this kind of stuff. Be careful.

grey air drakes should be (ranged touch: +9, 40ft)
green/yellow air drakes should be (... +9, 45ft)
blue/red air drakes should be (... +8, 45ft)
brown air drake should be (... +9, 50ft)
purple air drake should be (... +10, 50ft)
bronze air drake should be (... +8, 55ft)
orange air drake should be (... +9, 55ft)
gold air drake should be (... +10, 60ft)

okay if you're thinking, dude ... it's okay, but what are we going to use it for?

well for one thing, having AirDragons (hmm Air Drakes?) as mounts is easier than having real dragons ...

they're quick, and powerful but not overly so ...

there is basically to groups or families ... the neutral/good (green, blue, brown, bronze, gold) and the neutral/evil (grey, yellow, red, purple, orange)

if chewing firestone isn't your cup of tea, try swapping out a psionic power for: breath of the Dragon (11d4) 3/day, burning ray (2 eye beams) for 3d6 each 3x/day (total of 6 ... or make it same as dragon breath, once every 1d4 rounds) ... can anyone say HERCULOIDS!, cone of sound 3x/day, or whitefire 3x/day
