You take a careful inventory of supplies. There is a total of 50 days worth of trail rations, 5 bedrolls, 5 small tents (each big enough for a single person), flint and steel, 2 sunrods, 5 full waterskins, 100 feet of hemp rope, 2 climber's kits, and 10 torches. Afterward you load yourselves up with all of your equipment and prepare to leave your room. Just as you are about to step out, Celen returns, bursting through the door followed by a strong-looking unshaven man of about 25 years. The man is dark-featured and tawdry of skin. He wears a suit of scale armor and carries a longsword at his side.

"Ah yes, gentlemen, good to see you are steeling yourselves for the trip. Might I introduce my friend, Omar Cay," the bard says gesturing to the dark-featured man beside him.

"A pleasure," the man grunts. Obviously words are not his strong suit.

"Howdy friend, we'll be escorting ya back to the monastery. Ya seem like the kinda guy who can stand a fight. That's good." comments Petron, with a smile.

Erik

"I'm Erik, my brother's name is Petron. The others may introduce themselves...

anything else or can we move now?"
Erik asks.

As Omar nods to Petron and Erik in their greetings, Celen hands Erik a scroll case. "This is the map I promised you. You can take a look at it now if you like and let me know if you have any questions about it, but I believe it is fairly straightforward."

The map is made on a sturdy piece of parchment and shows your path highlighted in red. The Grand Highway leads north out of the city of Manas and up to the capital city of the Republic. Along the highway a roadside inn known as the Leaf and Pipe is marked about a day's travel north from Manas. Several kilometers north of the inn, the map bears a symbol marking the Greener's Shrine, which is a well-known shrine to Avandra. Here there is a trail that is marked upon the map that heads east through the Naeci Forest and into the Titan Mountains. The journey through the forest looks like it will take about a day and lead you into the foothills of the Titan Mountains. The last five days of travel criss-cross the mountain range, noting various rock formations, some caves that might be good for spending the night, and the village of Berth which is nestled in the mountains. Berth appears to be about two days' travel into the mountains after leaving the forest. The final three days of your journey continue through the mountains and end at the Gea Citadel, which you note is located precipitously close to the border of the Johak Empire, only a few kilometers away if the map is accurate.
GM: I apologize that I don't have an actual map drawn out. If I have time in the next few days I will draw up one and post it.
"Pretty clear I hope. If you don't have any questions, you can be on your way.

"Oh and one more thing,"
he says as he readies himself to leave, "If you would be so kind as to ask the goodwife at the Leaf and Pipe about Awna and deliver me a report upon your return, I would be most gracious."

GM: If anyone wants to ask Celen a question retroactively I'll allow it between now and my next post but I'm pretty sure we're all ready to move on.
You begin your journey bright and early that morning. As luck would have it, you come upon a coach on the edge of the city that is heading north and doesn't mind carrying you on top for a few coins (no need to deduct this expenditure). They leave as soon as you and your things get hoisted above, four sturdy steeds carrying the coach forward briskly onto the Grand Highway. The skies are clear and the sun begins to shine as it creeps over the horizon.

"Used to be called the King's Highway, you know," Omar says as you enjoy the ride north in the morning. The ride is bumpy and noisy, so you have difficulty hearing him, but it is less tiring than walking and thus you can cover more ground today. "The highway!" He repeats more loudly this time as you strain to hear, "I said I hear they used to call it the King's Highway, back when we had a king they did anyway. Don't know how I remember that, but I do. Anyway, I wonder who is traveling in this carriage. Anyone important you think?"

Omar raises an interesting question. The coach has no family crest and is darkly colored with covered windows. Whoever is inside doesn't appear to wish to be easily identified.

"Someone with coin, at any rate." Lia says, then shakes her head.

"If Celen set this up..." She thinks out loud. It would be like him, from what she had seen.

Let's just mind our own business all right? i don't care who is inside this crate,as long they don't mess with us.and vice-versa. - Krawlinstar says, trying to avoid any kind of trouble in the trip.
