Airwalkrr's 4e Game IC: Ch 2 Amnesia

Krawlinstar close his eyes and stay in a freeze position for a few seconds.he then tries to ''feel'' the spirit, his emotions his pain and purpose.after seconds that seems like hours he speaks: ''What kind of spirit are you? Talk to me so i can release your soul from this place.his soul is bounded here.''

After Krawlinstar has spoken, he sees a vague humanoid outline appear lying on the bed. It is translucent and insubstantial, but it is there. The voice speaks, "Bound to this place...I seek rest...Until she is safe I cannot have it..."

From this you ascertain that this is not a hostile spirit, merely a restless one, one that refuses to cross over to the final plane of existence until it is satisfied that certain affairs from its life are set in order. In this case, the spirit has provided you with a clue. It appears to desire a female individual to be safe. Exactly who the individual is and what the spirit will accept as "safe" is still a matter of speculation at this point, but since the spirit has answered you once, it might do so again.
GM: 1 success; no failures. Petron, Lia, and Erik are up.

Erik

"Speak, spirit, who do you mean? Tell us her name, so we can help her."
Erik asks, but he lacks respect and sounds to demanding.

Petron observs the the interaction, and turns to the goodwife. Perhaps she was hiding the identity of this woman the spirit talks about. A good spook could help her loose her tongue on the matter, and if not, it would surely be funny as hell.
"Have ye heard that good lady? The spirit speaks about a woman... Wouldn't ye be hiding that information from us, would ye? A sin like that in the presence of the spirit might get yer whole establishment hunted!"

"Who? Tell? Name?" the spirit speaks confusedly, "I am... sorry... so alone..."

Clearly it will be difficult to get the spirit to explain itself.
GM: I used the Diplomacy skill. But Diplomacy can still be attempted again by anyone at this point. And BTW, you needn't adapt your roleplaying post to your roll. The roll represents more than roleplaying. It also represents circumstances, luck, and other variables. So feel free to roleplay as well as you can. I might be inclined to grant a bonus for it.

The woman backs away muttering, "No... it... it... No..." She is evidently spooked by the presence of the spirit.
GM: I'll need some sort of social interaction roll if you wish the goodwife to talk. She is presently too distracted to speak otherwise or might be deliberately holding something back.

OOC: Sorry, forgot to add the roll! I wanted Petron to Spook the goodwife, I think that justifies Intimidate, but not as harsh as "Tell me or I'll break your face" sort of intimidate

"Beggin' your pardon milord!" the goodwife cries, "I certainly wouldn't want to anger the spirit. I wasn't intentionally concealin' anything. I just didn't know whether it mattered. The man who died in this room 'ad a girl with him. Maybe he means her. But she is safe, milord, I promise. My 'usband and I been carin' for her ourselves, seein' as she ain't got no family 'round here."
GM: 2 successes and 1 failure. We'll just skip Lia for now and start a new round.

Erik

Erik carefully watches the body language of the woman and hears for variances in her voice to determine if she told them everything... and the truth.

As Erik looks over the woman, he notices some interesting things about her features, her ivory skin, her dark black hair and deep green eyes, as well as general build. The goodwife has no features in common with the young girl you saw sweeping outside so it could not be a relative of hers. You believe the woman is telling the truth, and that the girl she refers to is none other than the blonde child.
GM: 3 successes, 1 failure. Petron, Krawlinstar, and Lia are up.
