Holy crap!
I don't know what to think...was this genius, or is the show going to go to crap...I have no friggen idea. But holy crap!

[Yes, I said crap three times. Beavis and Butthead would be proud...and giggling]

That was the first time I've ever seen Alias. Not only was it AMAZING, but they were totally correct in assuming that it was a good episode for new viewers.

The only hiccough was ABC 30 in St. Louis running a truly god awful post-Superbowl show before Alias.

1) St. Louis doesn't need a post-game show for a game involving teams on opposite ends of the country. I can't imagine that there exists any sizable population of Raiders/Bucs fans in the St. Louis area.

2) My god was it bad--the people they had run the show were offensively inept, with no on-air presence.

3) Before tonight, I didn't watch ABC. The Superbowl was a given, but I wanted to see Alias. If I wasn't a night owl, that steaming pile of monkey crap they called a post-game show would've told me to go to bed.

Whoa! Hey, guess I was a little steamed... Well, I feel better now.

Alias kicks ass.

The show is genius, fast paced in both terms of plot and film style, but not lacking in emotional development. TV is a great medium for dynamitic story lines and change, but all too often shows are static, and unwilling to adapt or alter certain conventions,(see x-files, and Star Trek).
Alias is definetely not one of those shows.
The characters are complex, their motivations are often conflicting.

It made sense to destroy the Alliance, and the show did it fast, like the writters felt the Alliance dismantling was Q.E.D, and moved on to more intresting avenues. Sometimes you cant even blink during an episode for fear of missing something,(I missed 10 minutes of an episode last year and spent the off season part thinking Will Tippen was dead).
Rather than leaving us in the Mulder/Scully romantic dead zone, they advanced the plot and the situation.

And How much does someone want to bet the new Maxine, is the black woman from K directorate that Sidney would go head to head with.

Best ep since the premiere. Had me on the edge of my seat the whole time. I can't say enough good things about it.

This one had everything. Plot, action, suspense, surprise. The Big Reset Button has been pushed and I can't wait for the aftermath. :)

For what it is worth this episode is slightly out of order. Next weeks comes just before this weeks episode...
Yeah, Ethan Hawk is guest starring or something like that. Read about it on AICN. I can turn back the clock in my mind no problem. And ABC made a good choice in putting their best ep of Season 2 on after the Super Bowl. Should get more fans. :D

Absolutely amazing episode. I love it when a series is willing to take some risks by doing some drastic things. I was stunned at the turn they took in the series and in mid-season to!

All I can say is WOW!

that was the 1st alias I saw, and other than the skimpy outfit opening I thought it sucked. To each there own I guess, but the pseudo mystical crap, wrecked it for me. I just wanted a cool spy show.

Ummm...Shard...there was no pseudo mystical crap in this episode that I recall at all. What are you referring to?
