An Embarrasment of Riches in Gaming Soon. Your Most Wanted?

driver8

First Post
Alot of great video/PC games coming out soon. Ive been saving money since summer is a bit of a drought games wise, in anticipation.

From Labor Day (US) to Christmas, its going to be a good time to be a gamer, although ones finances may suffer..

For me the hard choices begin 9/15, when Fable and FR Demonstone are released.

Your most anticipated must have play or die choices?

Warhammer 40k: Dawn of War
I've been playing in the open beta, and it's very kewl, i hope the campaign is as good as the one from starcraft (loved that)

Half Life 2 (i hope)
I've had a lot of fun playing counterstrike with a couple of friends, upgraded graphics would be so kewl.

I heard some good stuff from The Chronicles of Riddick, but i'll have to see before i buy...

Not to mention: The World of Warcraft

I'm not going to be buying any more pen & paper RPGs this year, so I can spend it on video games.

My want list:

Phantom Brave
Star Ocean
Wings of War
Street Racing Syndicate
Juiced
Fable
Guardian Heroes Advance
That's just August-Sept

And in October:
Neverwinter Nights Platinum
Growlanser Generations

And near the end of the year, there's a lot more.

I likely can only buy a few on my list, even by forgoing pen&paper stuff,

Metroid Prime 2
Half-Life 2
World of Warcraft
Forgotten Realms: Demon Stone
Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2005
Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory (Sam Fisher is such an awesome character; he's like a cross between John Clark from Tom Clancy's Ryanverse and Snake Eyes from G.I. Joe  )

I'm also excited for Neverwinter Nights 2, but that game won't be out until 2006.

Ditto, though I'm most interested in Prince of Persia 2 (or whatever it ends up being called), Capcom Fighting Evolution, and SF Anniversary Edition are also high on my list of games to get.

Of course I'm likely forgeting something due to my not being able to remember much of what's on the way.

And surprisingly I'm not looking forward to MGS3 at all.
