Still not sure what the hell Jasmine is...but I keep thinking "Man she's like an aspect of Law." Or maybe is a concrete example of D&D alignments in a show. (In this case Lawful evil with the whole "I love you" thing going down there.) Course my favorite line was from Lorne. "And now the part of Judas Isariot will be played by Lorne, son of blah-blah of the Deathwah clan."

When they attempted to "cure" him of the mind-control, we realize that he ISN'T under any mind-control -- he has made a concious choice to side with Jasmine (which, in my mind, is far darker and creepy). His turn to the dark side is now complete, or something.
That's what I was thinking when I saw it and even before they gave him the blood. Connor has been the key all season. No reason to change it now. When he finally "gets it" is when Team Angel will win the day. And as others have almost said: Very Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader-esque. I love that formula.Pielorinho said:I actually think the cure *did* work on Connor -- sort of. It cut him off from the Everlasting Love of Jasmine, made it so that he wasn't a part of the hive mind anymore.
But from Connor's twisted perspective, this is a curse, not a blessing. He's been betrayed by everyone he's ever loved, and he can't bear to think that Jasmine has betrayed him. So instead, he believes that his "friends" have done a spell to cut him off from the Good that is Jasmine, and that she still must be goodness incarnate, even though he doesn't feel that way any longer.
He's a poor dumb schmuck, sure. But he's desperately trying to find *something* to believe in, and Jasmine's his latest attempt at that; he won't give up his belief easily.

Sounds like you figured it out about the same time I did - When you see him blissfully being lead down the hall to the rest of the team. That's what telegraphed it for me. I believe it was done on purpose.Pielorinho said:Yeah -- as I watched them doing the ritual, I started muttering, "Oh no. Oh, no!" because I suspected what he was going to do.
aye, that you did, but you missed the combination, that Staffan caught/guessed. tho i suppose one could argue that it was your initial suposition that pointed him in the right direction. ... oh alright, you can have a kudo too.Welverin said:But I posted it first.
yep that was cool. i started wondering why she'd go back to the bookstore and not straight to the hotel, and when she walked behind the counter, i got it. that was deffintiely too cool.Henry said:[B---I was deeply impressed by Fred's "magic bullet" trick. far as i recall the thing she stole was some dimension jumping doodad ... come to think of it, it seemed like the same thing Angel used to get to Skip two eps back, so maybe i'm confused ...WizarDru said:...Is it that item that Gwen stole back in the beginning of the season ...
