very interesting idea that Connor wasn't spelled in the first place ... a lot more interesting than "he's her dad so it won't work." that fact alone probably makes it more likely to be true in JossWorld :D

Naw, I'm pretty sure that he was spelled, but once despelled he decided to stay loyal to Jasmine -- he just couldn't take another betrayal.

*That's* classic Joss: making you realize, with a shock, that free-willed souled beings can choose evil, too.

I'm more in the camp of that he doesn't care and is still on Jasmine's side. They are both creepy and talk about just how much Connor is messed in the head. He was definately under her spell until now. Jasmine mentions eating people and his actions definately changed when she arrived on the scene. Of course, I could be wrong but I can't see him being okay with her eating people. He did kill an innocent himself but that was a different situation. That is unless he is totally shot now...

see, now why'd you have to go and bring that up for? huh? now i'm gonna have to talk about it. (even if it is more appropriate for the Buffy thread)

one of the things that's been bugging me for the longest while, is all of this emphasis on souls and having or not havong them. Buffy constantly talks about how Spike has his soul back and he's a good "man" now and whatnot. and there's all this fuss over Angel and his soul.

as if regular souled humans can't be worse than monsters and demons. it really irritates me! there are so many examples of regular old humans being really nasty to other humans. *sigh* oh well.

but to keep this post from being totally off topic; it'd be cool of the "souled" Connor did choose evil and had to be put down for it! :D

"Hey, Connor! You're a whiny loser! And your haircut's stupid, too!"

aye, that you did, but you missed the combination, that Staffan caught/guessed.

Oh sure just because I he went into more detail and explained it all better than me he desevre all the credit?

Hmm, that sounds about right, oh well.

tho i suppose one could argue that it was your initial suposition that pointed him in the right direction. ... oh alright, you can have a kudo too. :p

Ooh, a kudo! I'm so special!

very interesting idea that Connor wasn't spelled in the first place ... a lot more interesting than "he's her dad so it won't work."

I think that he was spelled too and that BECAUSE he's her Dad, he's sticking by her. Don't forget that Connor's family, his feelings about his family (Angel, Darla, Holtz, and Cordie), and his ideas on what IS a family are all totally screwed up.

one of the things that's been bugging me for the longest while, is all of this emphasis on souls and having or not havong them. Buffy constantly talks about how Spike has his soul back and he's a good "man" now and whatnot. and there's all this fuss over Angel and his soul.

Actually, I think that getting their souls back after doing such evil, horrible, unspeakable things, is what makes Spike and Angel do good now. Angel wasn't that good before he was a Vampire, but he didn't go back to the way he was as a human... he became a super good guy because of the bad things he had done while having no soul.

That was only a small part of it. Angel became what he is now because of his love for Buffy. Spike is on a similar path.

Because of his love for Buffy he became a kind of jerk?:D Seriously, yes, it was his love for the buffster that made him active, but he is still kind of a butthead. Notice how evil he was under Jasmine's spell? Even when not enspelled, he has some rage issues.
Spike is on a similar path.
My hope for Spike this season is that he still ends up bad, even with a soul. Mainly because so many people say that since he has a soul now, he's good. I want him to make a choice, perform an action, one more time I want to hear "The Big Bad is Back!". :D
