The conversion with the demon in during the fight was very interesting and sets the understanding/situation between Conner and Angel. Wonder if Conner will be the next big bad.

Now, is that the first evil? Or are we seeing a deal with the powers, I give you a soul and you bring me back from the dead.

Good morning addicts.

So no one has brought up Jasmine's ambiguous morality yet. This is based on not only her actions and (superficial?) goals for world peace, but on things that Lila was saying in the preview for next week.

Is it possible that even though Jasmine was certainly (lawful) evil, she was actually the "good guys" in the coming apocalypse? Or in fact, one of the powers that be? Kinda adds a nice subversive aspect to the underlying story arc.

I've missed W&H dearly since they left so any sort of come back will be a source of great cheer. Though I can't believe next week is the finale. I want to see it so bad but at the same time I don't want the season to end. Its been a long long time since I've loved a show this much.

Interesting theories, but I think the simple one works best. Since Cordy and Connor "created" Jasmine, they had the power to hurt her. Already, Cordy's blood broke through her enthrallment spell. Which meant that Connor had the power to punch right through her. What he created, he can destroy.

With Connor destroying Jasmine the way he did, it gives a new meaning to the phrase 'I brought you into this world and I sure as hell can take you out of it'

I really liked this episode, although I can't recall an episode I did'nt like, but I thought it was anti-climatic. I was thinkng the conclusion was going to be in the season finale

As for the Lila thing, my opinion is that she is a manisfestation of the First as well. Although W&H can bring back their deceased employees, as mentioned in earlier posts, their bodies would have to be intact in my opinion. If I recall correctly, Wes decapitated her after talking to her metaphysical soul. Maybe this was the First as well ?

He decapitated her to ensure that she didn't turn into a vampire, yes. He never spoke to her, the entire conversation was purely inside his mind, a figment of his own imagination, as he argued with himself, using her phantom as a proxy for his own inner demons. She says as much, during the conversation.

Thanks to the power of Tivo, I rewatched the ender of the episode in slow-mo, to see what's happening there. It's a very fast jump-cut, but it looks like what Lilah is actually doing is pulling her hand back from a button on the desk that causes the curtains to pull back on their own. Until I hear otherwise, I'm still maintaining that she isn't The First. I'll gladly admit I'm wrong...but I think the "Senior Partners" have her, lock stock and barrel. If they could bring Darla back from the beyond, I think they could handle someone who had willingly given them her soul.

I'm much more curious how they're going to get Angel to working WITH W&H. Really odd, that. Especially given the "If Angel gets renewed comments" from the producers that I've heard. They get the benefit of the doubt from me, though. I thought this season, particluarly the handling of Wes, was going to be extremely lame. I was glad to be wrong.
