Well, that wrapped up the whole Connor thing rather nicely. Not sure about the whole W&H concept, though.

I agree, the ending with Connor was perfect. Not what I expected, but it worked. A lot.

I kinda like the W&H notion, though I'll want to wait and find out more details. (Like, why did the senior partners really give in? And what the hell happened to Gunn up in the white room?) But it's a very different direction, not just for this show, but for any show I can think of. How often is the big monolithic corporation on the side of the good guys? (Even if it's only temporary, as I've a feeling this will be.)

Looking forward to next season, if the Powers That Be ;) see fit to give us one.

I may have missed it, what happened with Gunn and the panther?

We all missed it - there was no explanation of what went on there. I certainly want to know, however.

I'm not so sure about the whole W&H things either - I see why Angel would take the deal. I wonder if there are other "clauses" that Angel put in as well... :)

We'll have to see. I hope it gets picked up.

I don't think you did miss anything. Gunn and the cat look into each other's eyes, the panther roars, and that's it. Next time we see Gunn is walking out of the elevator and saying that he's accepting the job.

Voc,

Your guess, good as mine. I doubt we'll know any time soon. What DID like is the fact they didn't use the First as an excuse for Angel to be sent over. They really WORKED it in and did it a way I liked.

Mouse,
Agreed. There's a lot of unanswered questions, but I do hope WB sees fit to return Angel for next season. If not, at least they get a HELL of a send off. Just have to hope and then play the wait and see game.

My thoughts:

Wow! I mean after the whole Fiery Apocalyse, Jasmine running the world (almost) this was a spin I DIDN'T see coming. Like the rest of you, not sure this will be a permanent thing W&H, but I DO think there will be PLENTY of repercussions because of the deals. Plus the fact I have a feeling if my source is to be believed (and so far he's one for one in regards to Angel), Angel will be the ONLY champion left on the globe. At least superhuman wise.

Yeah, I'm not sure about the whole W&H thing either. Personally, I think it's cooler for heroes and super-heroes to have limited resources, because having the giant headquarters, state-of-the-art technology, private jet plane is so freaking cliche. But that's just a pet peeve of mine.

Good show. Although I avoid spoilers, someone (I think David Boreanaz) had apparently said that the season finale would be like a new premiere (which it was), and that they were going to kill off some characters. I figured Gunn, for sure, was going to bite the big one, since they don't really seem to know what to do with him. Of course, it's quite possible that he did, and that wasn't Gunn. This is a wild guess, but I think they might be changing him into a werepanther.

Yeah and I think of ALL the stuff in there, that scares me the most. Whatever they did to Gunn, I think if Angel or anyone else backs out, he's the one going to be running the show. (For good or evil, hard to say.)

Wow. I kind of thought the same thing. But I think it's probably more likely Charisma Carpenter's out of a job. I don't think though it's NOT Gunn, but maybe a slightly mind altered Gunn instead.

While I can understand Chun, your peeve, for me I like for once if Angel DID catch a break. That to me would be good and think this possibly might be it...or not. We'll see. (After all even IRON man and Batman had lots of resources. They still managed to have problems. Course they were still human! ;) )

I thought it was a wickedly cool season finale. I love the way they dealt with Connor, which I was totally not expecting. I think he's the one who will not be coming back. They left it so Charisma Carpenter can come back since W&H might find a way to get Cordelia out of the coma in next season. From what I read on one of the entertainment sites, Angel will be returning for another season.

In a way, I'm glad about the offer being accepted. It opens up a whole new realm of mysteries to explore. The main one, of course, is what happened between Gunn and the panther.
