Animated maps?

People really enjoy playing these "living maps", in which the water flows, the fog wreaths, and the blazing campfire illuminates the swaying trees of the forest in encounter scenes.

Each one of these "living maps" is a looping HD video (and still images for online platforms). They are carefully designed action scenes not to affect the story of a roleplaying game. In addition to the wonderful live fantasy environment, each map features well-composed ambient sounds, creating a perfect atmosphere for you to take your imagination to the next level.

They are not just creating looping video files in grid and gridless versions but high quality still images of each map for virtual tabletop platforms or to print.

That looks very, very cool. Wish it would work for Fantasy Grounds, but, I know that it can't. Sigh. Still, very pretty maps and for a buck a piece (minimum patreon support), you still can't really beat it.

Sorry, no idea. I don't know anything about this "Unity" release other than it's been in the works for at least three years now and we've not seen much of any forward motion. I'm of an opinion that it's not likely to see the light of day.

But, I hope that I'll be pleasantly surprised.

That said, it is moving slowly and I'd love to be able to use the maps from Dynamic Dungeons in it. That would be awesome!!
