Anyone know of a good spellcasting archer PrC?

Just as the title says, I'm looking for a solid prestige class that combines spellcasting with bow use that isn't the Arcane Archer. Any ideas?

The best is more of the fighting wizards like the Eldritch Knight. full base attack, and 9 out of 10 levels increase spell ability plus the bonus feat makes it a pretty good class. It doesn't give cool abilities but does increase the two key areas.

There really isn't any archer wizard specifically that I can recall seeing.

Any character can take Weapon Proficency (Bow) as a feat; Assasin has it's own class spells and proficiency with Crossbows and Shortbows; Blackgaurd gets all martial weapons (including bows) and it's own class spells; Eldritch Knight has a pre-requisite of all Martial Weapon proficiencies (and thus bows) and increases an existing spellcasting class; some of the base classes that could fit the bill would be Cleric with War domain for a Bow-Wielding Diety, Ranger (duh!), Bard (shortbow only), or Palidin; if you are willing to go Psionic, the Psychic Warrior base class could work, as could the prestige classes Elocuter, Slayer, 3rd level Pyrokeneticist (sort of - free bolts of flame at range) - and all that just with the d20 SRD. Supplements probably increase the list considerably.

You may also be able to go Archmage and just burn your low-level spells for high-ranged touch-attack damage.

Betcha forgot something at char creation. Sure, you get the extra feat, but ELF (at least 1/2), my boy, ELF is whatya need for the best Archer/Caster PrC. Betcha forgot that, didnya?

Presumably the archer cleric will take the feat for proficiency. Or just do what Shin suggested above.
