AOTC makes me want to play all-Jedi campaign [spoilers]

I tell you what...when twenty or thirty guys whipped out lightsabers all at once?

That was a hell of a thing.

And when Yoda went ballistic?

Also a hell of a thing.

Yep...I'd like to bust out my Alien Species guide, have the players select suitably exotic critters, and do a Jedi campaign, with maybe that green tentacled-hair guy as the NPC mentor.

What's the big blue guy with the horns next to Chancellor Palpatine all the time?

-That- is a cool looking species.

I'm trying to decide if I want to run WEG or buy D20 SW ... but after that I definately want to run a campaign and I'm sure I won't have to specify Jedi. After all that, people won't play anything less.

After watching that and playing Jedi Knight II it's pretty obvious that Jedi in full possession of the Force lay the whoop down upon anybody else. Luke Skywalker is seriously outclassed by the old-skool Jedi before the Empire.

Twileks are indeed groovy. And they come in all different colors. I had a character whom I never got around to playing who was a bright red scoundrel/crimelord...

But the fella I mean is something else...I looked him up in the Visual Guide the other day, but I've forgotten now...anyway, cool-looking fellow.

Jedi are obviously powerful under the d20 rules, but I wonder if a Jedi would fare so easily with a properly-equipped soldier of equal level. The lack of ranged attacks (other than Force Push or deflected blasters or lightsaber-throwing) is a problem. I think the fight between Jango and Obi-Wan is proof that Jedi do not automatically crush all foes.

But then you've got that dual-wielding munchlin Anikin...

By the way...those of you with the revised book, what do think about the new "Skywalker rule" [Skywalkers all have certain exceptions to the usual force rules]. Part of me automatically rejects NPC characters who don't follow the rules...but on the other hand, if Yoda and MAce can get by without special mojo, then I guess I'll manage...

when i first heard the rumor that Yoda would be in a lightsaber duel in the movie, i though, "Man, that's going to look so corny and stupid."

gee, was i wrong! that fight was great! now we know exactly why Yoda is THE MASTER. :)

i still like the Rebellion Era better for gaming, but AOTC makes me want to run a Jedi campaign, too...

This movie cemented my preferred choice for SW gameplay. I'm all about the Jedi, so I'm all about the time before their fall to the Sith. (Well, and I think that Natalie is prettier than Carrie, but that's neither here nor there.)

That green tentacle guy is Kit Fisto and he is a nautoloid (not sure of the spelling of the species), not a twilek. He is cool though. He and Plo Koon gotta be my favorites...

I gotta admit all those Jedi certain upped the COOL factor. I don't remember what species that blue guy was, but one of the senators was of the same species...

The only problem with an all Jedi campaign would be that the PC's would be under the control of the Jedi Counsel or Jedi Master, unless they were Dark Side. The only control they would have is how they solved there missions and only if they solved it based on the Jedi code.

If your PC's like making alot of choices then this would be bad.

If you PC's have trouble taking adventure hooks and would be up for the strict play that an all Jedi campaign would provide then it would be great. No need to worry about adventure hooks.
