[Apple TV+] AssaSynth - Murderbot Adaptation (No spoilers)

Six episodes in and I must say I'm very impressed. The casting is perfect. When I was reading the books, I was hoping for a screen adaptation. For once, I feel like the screen version is at least as good if not better than the books.

I'm really enjoying Murderbot. My wife, who hasn't read the books, is loving it as well. It's a really well done adaptation so far. Great casting, too.

Seeing the attention and effort put into this adaptation makes me very hopeful for the Neuromancer adaptation.

My wife put one aspect of it in a good way.

In the books, your view of all the other characters comes through Murderbot, a sarcastic, usually flat-affect person who doesn't understand a lot of human behavior. His depictions of individual people are... a bit lacking. It can be hard to keep them straight.

In the show, we get to see those people directly, without the filter of Murderbot between us, and we can see their personalities better. The other characters get more filled out thereby.

Well said. I couldn't verbalize it, but that is why I said in the OP the series was better than the books.
