Arcane Archers - Imbue Arrow Ability

It says that the Arcane archer can imbue an arrow with an area spell.

Can that spell come from any source as long as he casts it?

for example, say he has a wand of fireball, the AA casts it on the arrow and then fires it. what about casting a spell from a scroll.

Or can it only be spells he knows.

He has to cast the spell. When he triggers a wand or other device, he isn't casting the spell, the device is.

What about spell completion items, then? Say said AA has a scroll of Fireball and makes his caster check.

When an arcane archer gets the enchant arrow ability, does he add that bonus to his to hit and damage? Or is the arrow just treated as able to overcome that DR?
