Are you planning on participating in Worldwide D&D Gameday 2007?

Reluctantly, yes.

You don't have to go! No wait, yeah you do. :p

You need to stop though you are going to hurt Enk's feelings.

Worldwide Gameday would be one thing.

Worldwide D&D Gameday is another.

Currently I would happily participate in the former and be rather more reticent in the latter. I will be at a gamestore that is participating on that day, but I will be running a 7th Sea variant instead.

My group (blissfully ignorant of wwddgd) will have our usual game going on that day. I understand the reason for supporting the event through FLGSs, but is there anything semi-official that individual groups can do as part of the event? Something to help those who want to spread the hobby but can't do so through a store? Otherwise its not even a blip on the radar for my guys.

Running a one shot for my old group up in Michigan. I'll be keeping my fingers crossed for the success of the "official" games being run though. Always need new players.

Yep:)

It's never good, but I consider it my "good deed" for the health of the game.

I figure this gets me out of having to endure the socially retarded at my table for "the good of the game"

You pick your fights:)

My point of view exactly.

Yup. At this point, I have the same feeling.

As for the demo thing itself, after looking at it, I just wished they'd gotten someone who knew the game to make the characters, there's mistakes and bad character design on every single character sheet.

Ugh.

I am half tempted to re-do the characters.

Really?

I didn't think they were too bad this year - certainly a huge step up from last year. There were a couple of minor things I spotted (generally, a couple of skill points here and there), but really not too much.

I'll be running at my local game store, the Game Castle in New Hampshire. We had a really good turn out last year, 9 or so tables over the course of the day. Hopefully this year will be similar.
