Assassination 2: The Lost Children

OOC: Question. These ogres mark if they miss? Also, if that is the case, wouldn't Ogre 3's mark supercede Ogre 2's mark on Chael since it attacked second and hence, the mark vanishes when Ogre 3 dies? Unlike PC Defenders, monsters normally do not have the option to mark or not mark. It's part of the power. Just like a PC's power that knocks a foe prone, the player doesn't get to not knock it prone (forced movement is an explicit exception to this).

GM: Yes, with one of the attacks, they mark if they hit or miss. Didn't know that about monster powers... so, sure, marked by Ogre 3. Who just died. (Of course these highly competent and battle seasoned warrior ogres would have coordinated their attacks so the less injured ogre's mark would have been the second attack as it would have been the better tactical move.... but, meh, its just a game :))

"Hey boys. Come join the party." Chael shouts out to the Gnolls and Minotaurs as mists build around her and she throws some rocks at the Gnolls.

*Stay put Dusk.*

[sblock=Actions]
Move: Shift to F21
Minor: Twilight Shield
Standard: Magic Stone Against Gnoll 1, 2, and 3 in that order.

vs. Reflex, 23 Gnoll 1, 30 Gnoll 2, 30 Gnoll 3, 9 damage

+2 to defenses to Chael due to Dusk, +1 to Dusk's defenses due to Chael, +2 AC/Reflex start of encounter, +1 AC/Reflex boots of fencing master, partial concealment vs. ranged attacks for all behind Twilight Shield mist

Ogre 2 still marked
[/sblock]
[sblock=Immediate Actions]
In order:

IR
Mind Spike
Trigger: An adjacent enemy marked by Chael deals damage to her ally with an attack that doesn’t include her as a target.
Effect: The target takes force and psychic damage equal to the damage that its attack dealt to Chael's ally.

Not doing Guardian's Counter this round.

II
Guardian's Counter
Close burst 2; Trigger: An ally within 2 squares of Chael is hit by an attack and she is not included in the attack.
Effect: Chael and the ally shift up to 2 squares as a free action, swapping positions. She becomes the target of the triggering attack, in place of the ally. After the attack is resolved, Chael can make a basic attack against the attacker.

Will do Forceful Reversal Augment 1 without pushing or shifting.

IR
Forceful Reversal (augment 1)
Trigger: An enemy hits Chael.
Attack: +15 vs AC
Hit: 1d8+6 force damage, and Chael pushes the target 1 square.
Effect: Chael doesn’t get her normal standard action on her turn.
Augment 1:
Hit: 1d8+6 force damage, and Chael pushes the target 1 square and then shifts 1 square to the square the target vacated. In addition, she gains combat advantage against the target until the end of her next turn.
Effect: Chael gets her normal standard action on her turn.
Augment 2
Hit: 2d8+6 force damage, and Chael knocks the target prone. The target cannot stand up until the start of its next turn.
Effect: Chael gets her normal standard action on her turn.

After Czern hits the ogre, it's shadow writhes on the floor and small part scuttles toward the drow in the background. Last rays of the sun illuminate the ogre, removing last remnants of the gloom from warlocks curse.

OOC: Gain second aura point on bloodying ogre 1. Ogre 1 is no longer cursed. No slides.

Very nice setup with ogres like a wall of flesh :)

The gnolls, licking their collective chops at the idea of feasting on your flesh, don't see the stones flying toward them at the speed of bullets. The projectile stones bash through skulls, tear into the neck and through the eye and into the brain of the corresponding gnolls, dropping them in their place...

GM: Minions down... :(

OOC: And yet again the anticlimactic reason that I'm not a minion fan. ;)

Neurotic

I plan on living forever. Or die trying.
Priest calls upon his goddess and divine glow surrounds Alexia and both ogres who twitch and fall as holy light burns them. Alexia feels divine guidance helping her sword arm. The priest moves away from the melee, just in case.

[sblock=Actions]
Blast 3 C16-E18
Divine Glow vs Ogre 1 Ref; Ogre 2 Ref; radiant damage (1d20+14=26, 1d8+7=9) - knocked prone
Erm, vs Ogre 2: Divine Glow vs Ogre 2 Ref (1d20+14=16) - this hits due to -2 to defenses and forgotten +1 from coordinated explosion (Alexia is in the area) :) - knocked prone
[MENTION=82251]TwoHeadsBarking[/MENTION]/Alexia gets +2 power bonus to hit TENT Venakhad
Venakhad gains +1 all defenses vs ogres hit

Move: shift to B18
