It's a series of shorts by Genndy detailling the Clone Wars.

Here's a news story from the SW website. If you do a search over there I'm sure you could find more on it.

p.s. what did you find out about SJ? I hate CN's ability to stick to a regular schedule.

p.p.s. From this news story: "Luckily 'Samurai Jack' is just ending up. I finished the last storyboard in December."
That quote makes it sound like SJ is over, to which I say nnoooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It would be unfortunate indeed if Samurai Jack were to end this year, or the next. All the best stories have a definite ending in mind, but I just do not want to see Samurai Jacks that soon.

Yes it is unfortunate but considering SJ has had a run of 4 seasons, it's been a great run. Do I want it to end? No. But I think the end is coming. Just will be a memorable ending.

I'm going to miss the Samauri too, but I have to third the notion that for the first 3 seasons to maintain their power the show must end.

If Jack and Aku never have a final showdown, then Aku will always rule.

And before this thread gets totally hijacked, I remember seeing the Attack of the Clones Cartoon rumors about 6 months ago. Sounds like the clone wars will pretty much happen off screen between episode II and episode III, so this is as much of a peak at them as we get.

I agree with this, but there's no reason they can't stretch it out for a good long time as long as they give us the final confrontation.

Off the screen at the theater? yes. Off screen as in this is all we'll see of it? no.

THere is already a game out on them, there will be a number of books and comics on the subject. We may not see much about the wars in the movies but it will be well covered.

For those who are interested there are already figures out for the clone wars.

Okay I'm starting a new SJ thread to address SJ concerns.

Give you the link soon: [Editor's Note: Here's the link!]

Mean time back to the thread, I do think this short series WILL be fun. I certainly think we'll have fun watching all new jedi and Yodi kick major butt. My only regret they won't get the same actors to do voices for the major characters. But oh well. I can't wait to see this.

And Wel is correct, while there won't be a mega movie covering the Clone Wars, I doubt there won't be at least SOME coverage some how. People are interested in this part of the Star Wars mythos as much as what happened AFTER it ends.
