hehe going from "way of water" to "fire and ash". Sounds like we are taking it up a notch!!

So the trailer suggests that there are Navi that don't believe in Eywa, and are a more destructive faction on the world. I wonder if that will actually be the main villain instead of humans this time?

yeah, no doubt the Bad Colonel Klink joins forces with Sully and co this time to fight the Navi firebenders before Sozins Comet returns making the Fire Lord unstoppable.

Looks like some nice worldbuilding anyway, especially as they seem to be including the Air Nomads and their floater-balloons too

Aside from the 3D at the time (say what you want about the first movie story-wise, it was a visual feast and had probably the best 3D I've ever seen in any movie ever. And I say this as someone who is NOT a fan of 3D movies. Less about stuff jumping out at you and more about the amazing depth of field and putting you in the environment, the first movie left me a little tepid overall.

The second movie has a lot of new worldbuilding and plot setup in the first half and the last half was pretty much all payoff and spectacle. And if it was at all possible for the 3D to be utilize 3d better in the second film? It WAS. I enjoyed the second movie a lot more than I did the first and when I saw the trailer for the 3rd one in front of the Fantastic Four IMAX screening I went to, I legitimately got excited.

I love movies, and I try not to be the jaded person that so many seem to get off on being, but I was legitimately excited for this movie.

oh pretty, I still haven't seen the 2nd movie.

Me neither, but that was COVID. I refuse to watch an Avatar film for the first time in anything less than cinematic 3D. I am going to assume, not necessarily correctly, that there will be opportunity to see the second film again when this one hits theatres, and then I will rectify that.
