Bad Sequel film-fest

Spider-man 2 (but then again, 1st part wasn't really good either)
Cyborg 2: Glass Shadow (the first one, with van-damme, was pretty good, the others were awful)

Um. Riiiiiiiiight. (Sorry, I thought Cyborg was crap, and the Spiderman films pretty darn good.)

How about Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom? It may have had a few redeeming features, but it was a massive drop in quality from the first film.

It's unlikely many people would have seen these, but the Hong Kong film God of Gamblers is really good... God of Gamblers 2 is awful.

Also, maybe...

Beverly Hills Cop 2
Conan the Destroyer

Some good suggestions. Or bad, depending on your point of view. But remember the rules: first movie had to be good and reasonably successful, it has to be the first sequel, it has to suck hard, and it had to have a real budget and a theatrical release. We're trying to find those movies that should have had everything going for them, and still end up being god-awful. I'm not sure anything could every touch Highlander 2 (although Speed 2 gives it a run for its money). Almost any movie that's a direct-to-video, 6th sequel in the series is gonna be bad. We want to find the greatest falls.

I've added the following to the potential list:

Caddyshack 2
Men in Black 2
The Two Jakes (although I'm not sure how many of the others have seen Chinatown)
Exorcist 2
Chronicles of Riddick (probably not gonna make the cut since we just saw it last year and I don't think anyone wants to sit through it again so soon)
Mission Impossible 2
Blair Witch 2
Ghostbusters 2

Hannibal

Jaws 2 is pretty bad.

Bride of Reanimator

The Karate Kid II

Porky's II

Staying Alive (Saturday Night Fever II)

The Flintstones in Viva Rock Vegas

City Slickers II: The Legend of Curly's Gold (though I don't even like the first one)

Renegade The-Film-That-Shall-Not-Be-Named? Is it anything like the Phantom Edit? As in, is it a fan work that chops out all the rightfully hated bits (all the stuff about Planet Ziest would be a good start...)

Demiurge out.

What about American Werewolf In Paris? And Grease 2? And wasn't there a Dirty Dancing sequel a few years ago that got ripped apart by the critics? I haven't seen any of these movies, but I've heard they were bad.

And how could I forget King Kong Lives, Son Of Kong, Escape From LA (basically a remake of Escape From New York), and Black Mask 2?!

I'm not sure if Black Mask 2 will count, but it was released theatrically overseas. Man, that was a special kind of bad.
