D&D General Baldur's Gate 3 will now be releasing August 3rd on PC and September 6th on PS5, increased level cap, race & class details and more

I've encountered the first major bug. After defeating the hag, the victims were still enchanted and she was still commenting on their predicaments. I think it's because I had non-lethal damage enabled and was only giving her the killing blow after the fight.

It seems like a lot more players have bought this game than are actually playing it, or else Steam's Achievements system isn't reporting accurately. Even the basic achievement that you get for completing the prologue and leaving the Nautiloid is showing as "0.1% of players have this achievement."

Definitely not reporting correctly. I see 0.1% having that achievement when looking at it from the achievement list, but when looking at it from my activity log where it records me picking the achievement up, it shows 7.8% and the number hasn't updated in the ~3 days since.

Well now I feel bad because I never went back and checked on those people lol.

Also yes haha same face same piercings, albeit very different skin/hair tones and makeup.

I was totally planning to go the even more classic Half-Elf Bard (a character I've been playing in various versions of D&D since about 1991) but they threw me off that with their weird Half-Elf changes, which they somehow managed to make seem even worse than Humans. They should have given them the free skill, not the militia stuff.

A lot of Steam games seem to have this issue for their first few days, for whatever reason. But also it's definitely not all games which have the issue on release, so it's weird. I wonder if games that are more successful have more issues?

I ran into a bug with a lever activated secret passage. the book case in question visually snapped back to its starting position, but did not actually "close" the secret door.

The movement system remains absolutely terrible. I'm sorry. Its one of the very few things from EA they seemingly never fixed.

I don't mind it. It's better than hexes.

Its the stupid chain thing they have going on, and seemingly if you break 1 character out, and start a fight, only that character is in the fight.

Its nonsense that BG1/2/WotR (and likely more besides) are so much better at controlling the characters.

Anyway, really enjoying it. I decided to push through the goblin camp when I had no more rests, and was low on pretty much everything. Halsin didnt seem to think we should camp, so I limped through every single fight.

We got there, but now do I clear out everything else or progress the story...

Wrath was better, but I can't count the number of times I had to screw with the BG1/2 AI because I needed my characters to stay in position and they just ignore my commands and start following my MC. Or how I had to give every spellcaster a ranged weapon so they stop trying to walk in and melee things.

I will say I don't understand why Edge Panning in BG3 ONLY seems to work when I nudge the camera with my keyboard first.
Like (for example) I cannot edge pan UNLESS I tap W first.
