D&D General Baldur's Gate 3 will now be releasing August 3rd on PC and September 6th on PS5, increased level cap, race & class details and more

Anyway, really enjoying it. I decided to push through the goblin camp when I had no more rests, and was low on pretty much everything. Halsin didnt seem to think we should camp, so I limped through every single fight.
If it's unchanged from EA he can be safely detached whilst everyone takes a nap or makes nice with the goblins then reacquired where you left him.

If you play as a Halfling/Gnome, many animations/cutscenes are just glitchier and framing-wise absolutely worse. This somehow seems to extend to facial animations, though that may be because they are staring up all the time, which is not the angle those animations were designed for.

I switched to a Dwarf, and there you get reasonable camerawork while still playing as a short person.

I had a hilarious glitch (I at least assume it is one) when meeting the Duergar for the first time. The speaking Duergar seemed to be unsure whether to look at my character's actual position or the position the game assumes your char should be, for the cutscene. So he simply split the difference and was constantly cross eyed.:ROFLMAO:

Quick question for those who are playing now, it looks like Variant Human isn't a thing, does anyone know if all characters get a feat at level 1? I'm waiting on the PS5 release next month, and want to go with a Monk for my first playthru but without the Mobile feat at 1st level I may start looking at other classes. Thanks!

Honestly, I went in with an idea and didnt even click around and figure out what I could do with the character builds. I do not believe anyone gets a level 1 feat.

No, no one gets feats at first level.

I didn't look at humans in the character builder, but no, characters in general don't get a level 1 feat.

Currently playing a human - no 1st level feat.

Consider taking rogue up to 3rd level, then going Thief. The way they've implemented Fast Hands is that you get two bonus actions on your turn, so for instance you can double-dash with Cunning Action and still take an action. Should combine well with monk bonus actions.
