Baleful Utterance & Readied Actions

Baleful utterance requires the use of Dark Speach as much as it causes a shatter effect.

Only because WotC rather screwed the chaotic warlock in favor of the evil warlock by tinging most of the abilities with evil flavor. Why they did this to a PC class boggles my mind, as playing with evil PCs is not really the Party Line.

Do you think requiring dark speech for a good-aligned PCs helps the game along? Brings the power into balance? Would you allow a house ruled version of the invocation that didn't conflict with a PCs alignment? Would you even allow a good-aligned PC to take the invocation?

I don't think the speaking of a single syllable of Dark Speach for Baleful Utterance actually has any game impact though. Note that Baleful Utterance does not require a whole word of Dark Speak, only part of a word. I could be wrong, but I thought it was just flavor of the class, in which case I don't really see a conflict. It's a dark flavor, but just flavor.
