Bard Spells

what are the best options for a bard who isn't lookg for spells that control or directly damage others.

I am going to be working towards the Duelist PrC, and don't want to be seen as a spellcaster - ie making others roll saves, DEX and INT are my highest skills (18's) and CHA is a lot lower (13) I don't figure to ever get more then 1 level 4 spell (D-Door)

The core 3.5 spells for the bard have so few direct damage spells I'm guessing maybe that's throwing people off on your question.

For first level, Expeditious Retreat
Second level, Cat's Grace
Third level, Good Hope

etc, just find spells with a range of touch or personal.

You could probably find more, especially if you can use d20 products from non WoTC sources.

No Basiran dancer ?

I'd go for at least one cure spell (prolly 2nd level), See invisibility and some other nice gimmicks. Mage Armour is a must.

The "Dancers" list is the one I will be working off of. I didn't see mage armor on it but that was my first choice. I am meeting with the DM tomorrow so we will see. the concept I had in mind was using the dance as a form of Thai Chi [sp?], the spells were ment as "personal" stuff like detect invis, mage hand and mage armor with cure lt. thrown in as well
