That's an insignificant nerf. It's not like those other spell lists were what made (lore) bards good. ;-)

no, but being able to take those spells is part of what made them fun IMO, which is perhaps a more important factor than the power you could get from it.

More items and more common items buff Valor Bard.

I just noticed dazzling footwork's unarmored defense qualifies dance bards for the war room bastion facility. At this point I would argue that even if valor bards can eek out a couple of extra points of AC from magic items that's not nearly the equivalent of an ability that eventually allows dance bards to recruit a standing army. ;-)
