What's your favorite classic D&D adventure? I looked, and I didn't see this poll done before. I know it will eventually though.

C.I.D.

S4 The Lost Caverns of Tsojcanth and WG4 the Forgotten Temple of Tharizdun are my favorites.

By the way Agianst the Cult of the Reptile God is N1

G-D-Q (Against the Giants, Descent into the Underdark, Queen of the Demonweb Pits.) The characters save their homelands, their world, and incidentally help several other worlds as well.

I like Lost Caverns of Tsojcanth, it was great.
The Giants and Drow series ending with Q1 was really good too.
But, my favorite was H1-H4 Bloodstone series.

IT WAS NOT "The Bloodstone Trilogy".

A Trilogy is three, Bloodstone was FOUR.

I voted 'other' specifically module B1 - In Search of the Unknown

While not "1st edition" it is 'old school' and 'classic' - customizable (even all random if you really want) Big insta-PC or NPC lists. My personal favourite classic D&D module.

If i had to pick a specific 1st ed AD&D module I would go for I6 - Ravenloft.

From a dungeon mastering perspective: Tomb of Horrors. A thing of beauty. Grab six friends, roll up some 15th level characters, start adventuring. Check back in two to four hours and laugh about which character died where, and in what condition of undress, gender, alignment, or physical state (solid, liquid, gas). Mmmmmm ... juggernauts.

From a player perspective: a toss-up between the Slavers/Giants/Drow/Shrine/Queen series (for sheer SCOPE!) and White Plume Mountain. Alright, fine, White Plume Mountain: vampires, kelpies, giant crustaceans, the old burning-arrow-lights-the-oil-on-fire trick, boiling mud (boiling mud!), inverted ziggurat (it's just fun to say), three drool-worthy magic weapons, and the implication of still more mystery awaiting resolution. It required brains, brawn, magic, luck, a sense of humor. What's not to love?

bloodstone bloodiness......

.......i never played or saw that adventure in person. I only remember how much praise i'd heard about it. Thus I put it on my list. The poll, as incomplete as it is, was hastily written and I did it all from memory. The Bloodstone quartet (?) was also the first place I remember seeing people mention the name Orcus, so I had to put that on the list....seeing as how much I dig the Lord of Undeath.

My favorite 1st edtion adventure (granted I'm a youngin of only 22 years...and I started being into GH and old school stuff in 95') is the Temple of Elemental Evil and the Cult of the Reptile God. I include N1....(now I know..:) ) because of the bad-ass time me and my party had playing through it.

Tomb of Horrors was the epitome of an old school dungeon crawl.

However, as a player, Expedition to the Barrier Peaks was by far my favorite.
