Borderlands d20

So anyone want to try a borderlands d20 RPG?

OK I don't know how to seaway into this properly so Guns. You would want to recreate borderlands ability to make random crazy guns. You could actually even end up with more insane guns too. To do that, you need real in depth and complex weapon stats so you can have a lot gun diversity. D20 modern has gun rules, but they don't really allow a huge verity in how you can stat guns. At least not as such as I would want.

I am tentatively thinking of adding a recoil stat that modifies how accurate a weapon is in sustained fire. (Hyperion weapons would have their BL2 ability of getting more accurate in burst fire.) You can have a reload speed stat that is the number of swift actions you need to reload. I am thinking multi pellet guns could be molded with a small AoE effect. I am wondering if there is a way to allow a larger range of RoFs. I also want to have some kind of stat that helps separate weapons that are accurate when snap fired (shotguns) Vs weapons that have to be aimed to hit anything (sniper rifles).

Is anyone else into the idea of a BL RPG?

It seems like it would be pretty easy to do. The D&D adaption of Diablo had a table for random generation of magic items. I think a similar table could be pretty easily made for Borderlands.

The recoil thing also seems pretty simple. When making multiple attacks within the same round, the recoil value applies as a penalty (or bonus for Hyperion) to all attacks beyond the first.
