(OOC: Aletheia's not going to step there until Mordik searches for other nearby traps--5 is actually a lot for her  )

(ooc: RA: Sorry. missed your post while I was typing up and working ^_~. added to my post.)

*Assuming the way is clear, Aletheia heads forward with the others and heals Mordik back to full with a single touch of the wand.*

(OOC: 6, so overkill even)

"Good. I suppose we should be careful when we're treading on animal tracks, or places where they usually gather. And of course be circumspect and wary of dangers in general." says Odno. "This forest is more extense than I thought, I hope we're not reduced to carefully examining the path before us, or it'll take us days to reach the shrine."

((ooc: assuming stats for the CR1 "Spear Trap" in thoughts and Mordik's able to make out that is the trap))
Indeed!

You continue your journey through the forest, now even more vigilant than you already where.
eventually, the sun starts to set at the horizon you realise that you will not reach your destination under the cover of the sun. How long do you keep traveling (e.g. make camp before the sun sets, until the sun sets, longer)?

I dunna think we'll be makin it tonight. Quarion, do ya see a place we might make camp without waking up to the bacon eating us? Mordik obviously thinks this is hilarious and chortles openly.

Quarion looks at the sky, noting the time. "We have traveled far today. But we are still encountering human traps, so we cannot be close. Let us rest here. We have waited this long, there is no need to hurry and fatigue our bodies. These woods are dangerous, though. Perhaps we should set up a double watch, resting for two thirds of the day and traveling during the remainder."

"I won't do any good if I'm nearly blind and exhausted" agrees Odno "And walk around carrying a light source will attract undue attention. I say, let's repeat our customary vigil order and try to reduce the conspicuousness of our presence."

"On the other hand, we are at fairly full capacity right now. Assuming that the guardians we will face are either constant or linear with respect to the time we spend, it would make sense to see if we can rest after we've expended some of our strength so as to most effectively position our rest breaks and avoid having to rest for wounds or spells when we have hours in the day."

"Either way, though."

(OOC: In addition to Ally's concern, if she and Odno are close to leveling, they will be less likely to go splat from a single attack if they can pull off the level. Of course, if we get another boar equivalent nocturnal ambush, perhaps that'll do it too ;))

"We should probably push on as long as we have light, at least," Eanos says by way of agreement. "But Odno's points are valid as concerns the night. I've tried fighting in the dark before; I don't recommend it. And such conditions will probably make spotting more passive threats--like that spear trap--more difficult."
