Nothing that resembles a shrine. However you do find something when you investigate the ruins. More precisely, something finds you.
While you investigate the first of the two less ruined buildings you are only alarmed by loud squeking noises just before a number of rats swarm from the rubble and attack.

Eanos grimaces, then begins stomping on the rats as they move in.

Mordik is surprised by the rat swarm, as he was looking for larger hidden threats.

You are all surprised so the rats go first.
The rats swarm together and engulf Quarion. While the little beasts bite and claw his flesh, Quarion does notice that these rats are not the ordinary. They have mean, red, glowing eyes and longer, croocked nails and teeth. They are quite clearly not natural animals.

Quarion takes 4 points damage. Odno's up!

Odno involutarily triggers the crossbow way too early. Fortunately the bolt is lost among the treetops and nobody's hurt. He retreats as far of the rats as he can

ooc: attack roll with crossbow is a 6. Anyway, it looks like Eanos is da man for the job.

The rats continue biting little chunks out of Quarion's flesh.
