(OOC: Yeah, she succeeded on the Kn: Nature check last night for a Rat Swarm, but she hasn't seen the Fiendish Rat Swarm. I haven't actually checked to see for sure if they're the right HD to have DR--that would be cheating, but not knowing, she would assume it probably is /Magic or just nothing. I still plan on having her shoot her crossbow on the off chance they don't have DR, since going in with the morningstar seems...a bad plan )

Eanos quickly shifts to the druid, lashing out with his feet at a blurring speed. Unfortunately, he seems to lose his balance in the movement, and the rats manage to scurry from beneath his feet without his catching any with his blows.

[sblock=OOC]Given the marching order, I assumed Quarion (and thus the swarm) was no more than a 5' step away from Eanos. Not that it matters if he could flurry or not, given the nasty rolls, but for movement purposes, he's now adjacent to the swarm. Hooray for disease immunity, at least. [/sblock]

Quarion, having put away his quarterstaff to draw his bow, is helpless against the rats. He casts his beautiful ranged weapon aside and extracts himself from the swarm. As he plucks the vicious rats from his body he screams, "Cursed! Demonic! Aberrations!" He pulls his staff from his back up over his head as he flees.

(OOC: Aletheia will make a futile crossbow attack, choosing a non-adjacent square in the back so she doesn't take the -4. I won't bother rolling since she can't hurt it She has an extra move action, so if she's still in range to be attacked by the rats any time soon, she backs away)

Too much people is banging on the rats for a safe shot. Odno loads the crossbow, but doesn't fire it, instead watching the rats.
